@ENNdavis I also received direct admission to chemistry yesterday and I’m honestly overjoyed. However, I believe that if he were to declare another major or double major, he would be required to apply during the competitive admissions season, since I’m like 80% sure admission into the chemical engineering major is through competitive admission
Congratulations, @caseyxcasey !
Thank you@UWfromCA. We will arrange to meet with an undergraduate advisor if this is what our son truly wants to do. His first love has always been chemistry so he is extremely happy about the direct admit. You have been a big help. Thank you so much for the info.
Congratulations @caseyxcasey on your direct admit! Thanks for the info. It would make sense to have to apply again later on for the different major.
Is there a UW groupme??
@ineeduw @BizmoFunyuns have either of you received your decisions yet? I’m still waiting on mine…
Still waiting as well. I went and checked with an advisor and I was told that the delay is because they just received my transcript.
@UWfromCA Any information regarding the process of double major would be great. Thanking you in advance.
@kassyD, there is an extensive discussion on the subject here:

@UWfromCA Thanks a lot!! That was informative and very daunting…
I got rejected
GPA: 0.8
ACT: 12
Major: Pre med
@ineeduw @BizmoFunyuns @gabbuccini have any of you heard back from UW Bothell yet? I am still waiting…
any waitlist info would be appreciated! ty
Got accepted OOS, but looks like I won’t be attending because I barely got any aid. Most of it was student and PLUS loans.
@UWfromCA or anybody else, do you know how they choose to accept waitlisted students? Do they consider probability of attending, ability to pay, in state residency, etc? And even though they said the notification is May 15 to August 1st, do they really notify people in July?
Also, has anybody on the waistlist been accepted without appealing?
It’s been a while since I posted but I just wanted to update everybody lol
Everybody had gotten their acceptance letters WAY earlier than I did. I think that I received my acceptance towards the end of March.
Here are my stats/ details:
No aid
Income: $100k
In State Tuition
GPA: 3.9?
SAT Score: 1370
Intended Major: Neurobiology, DXArts
Programs: Interdisciplinary Honors
Location: Greater Seattle Area
Did anyone get accepted into the engineering college? How hard was it?
@BookReader34 are you in-state or OOS? If you are OOS then you will probably be admitted pre-engineering unless you are in the top of your graduating class. My D had a 3.98 UWGPA 4.2 WGPA with 1400 SAT and was admitted pre-engineering. Good luck.
@BookReader34, engineering admissions is changing this year, so it will be hard to predict based on past admission cycles:
