What time does the decision come out?
I write this not trying to get anyoneās hopes up that decisions are coming out because it has been too long since I visited the admissionsā page, so I donāt know if this has been there for weeks or months or is new. Or if someone has already noticed.
But on the admissions page for UW Seattle (in addition to cancelling all campus tours and information sessions through April 10) there a section that says āCongrats New Huskies! Welcome to UW! and Next Stepsā Take it for what itās worth.
follow up to my prior post re: contacting admissions. below is the reply:
For Freshman, admissions decisions will be released sometime between now and March 15th. We will notify students of their application status being changed via email, so just keep an eye out!

According to Wayback Machine, that language was not there on January 11, 2020, but there are no screen shots since then, so I canāt tell when it may have changed.
yes i contacted admissions this morning and received the reply i posted about 2 hours later.
@IBDiplomaGuy163 I applied to Informatics also but my admissions counselor told me that very few people who apply Informatics are admitted direct to major. Most declare sophomore year, so donāt worry if you donāt get in for the major!!
Do you guys think decisions will be emailed first or portal updated first?
@405emmag Thanks for getting back. Yeah, thatās what my counselor told me as well. I am gonna hope being in state will give me that extra edge but it is still very hard as you mentioned. Good Luck to you as well!

@maglor1 yeah 8:30 pst. If I dont get it by that time I will really lose my hope, get depressed and not get out of my bed lol ? 3 more hours to go guyss.

Just so I know if I need to keep refreshing my portal page through the weekend or notā¦ Does UW update the portals on weekends or will the next time I see an update be on Monday if not today?
As far as I know most colleges donāt really update on weekends. However Friday evening is probably a good bet - a lot of colleges like to release admissions right after they close for the weekend; so that angry parents/students canāt call them because the admissions office is closed
@maglor1 didnt the office of admissions close already? It says 9am-5pm ?
