Yeah, I don’t understand it either, @Asol24 . Daughter had pretty high ACT (34) and decent Weighted GPA (4.2), yet waitlisted for a non impacted major (no major)? And she isn’t waiting until August 1 to get off the waitlist. She’s not phased at all though.

@woopwoop101 Regarding waitlist chances, it says this at the bottom of their waitlist page:
“We cannot assure admission to any student on the waitlist. The number of students admitted from the waitlist varies greatly from year to year: In 2018 no students on the waitlist were offered admission. However, in 2019, 2,394 of the 3,040 students on the waitlist were offered admission. Therefore, we advise you to confirm your intention to enroll at another college or university by May 1 to ensure that you will have an enrollment option this fall.”
Is waitlisted the same as rejected?
I’ve thought about appealing my waitlist. I understand getting your admit decision overturned is rare which is why I’m asking for honest thoughts. I could also just be sad which is why I’m going to give myself a week or two before I consider anything.
