My friend that goes to UW said he heard decisions will be released tomorrow or Friday. He was accepted on March 7th last year which was a Thursday so I’m guessing tomorrow.
Last year thread was interesting. I’d say 85% of those in CC got an email with a rejection or their portal updated with an acceptance or waitlist. But there were a handful who waited for days, refreshing portals, checking emails, and no update. Finally, on the 14th, they got accepted. No rhyme or reason. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen to any of us!
I know this might sound dumb, but have you or do you know anyone that has withdrawn from UW because of Coronavirus. I have no intentions of withdrawing, but my friend withdrew a couple of days ago with that fear, after hearing about the first death in Washington.
@west2east20 Thank you for your information. Do you mean that the accepted/waitlisted students will see their portal updated; where the denied students will get the email?
any hope that some decisions will be posted today?
I think last year people that were rejected and waitlisted got an email, and people that were accepted only got a portal update with no notification @xiaobaomama2020
Around what time?
I was under the impression that anyone who has set up a net ID portal will receive an email regardless of the decision, but if you have in fact been accepted you also receive an envelope. Has anyone else heard this to be true?
I find their roll out quite odd. They give a 3/1-15 period, but release no decisions the first few days, other than a few presidential scholarship recipients. This unnecessarily adds more stress and anxiety for all. They should do what other schools do and simply announce a date when decisions will be released: 3/7, for example - that is what other schools do. Many kids have been waiting 4-5 months due to their early deadline.
Has anyone gotten a decision yet? If not, when are we estimating they’ll come out?
@calico0507 I do not have my decision yet, and I am not sure when they are going to release the decisions.
no decisions yet … college counselor told me to expect something by 4-5pm pt if not tomorrow. good luck to all!

I applied under Int’l Studies / Econ because my college counselor and people from the UDub admissions office said that it’s very slim chance of me getting into Freshman Direct into Foster (4.0 GPA, 1350 GPA, CA applicant) since most of their spots go to in-state. If I get admitted, how likely is it that I can transfer into Foster? Or do I have to wait until Sophomore year to apply?
Last year decision seems to have released on Thursday (Mar 7th) around 7:30pm PST.
