@college8886 is that for in state or out of state applicants?
@woohooman You can apply to Foster Business school after you complete 60 credits including prerequisites. For Winter 2020, the acceptance rate was 26%. Accepted student averages were Pre-Application GPA 3.86 (Accounting, Econ, Calculus, Law English) Overall GPA 3.77, WSA (writing test score) 4.0 out of 5.0. Most class median GPAs are curved to 2.8-3.0 so you need to be top student. Fall acceptance rate is usually a bit higher at 35%.
The main thing to understand about UW is thereās a big difference between getting accepted and getting accepted into your major. For some majors, if youāre not Direct Admission the school pretty much tells you to look elsewhere. look up ācapacity constrainedā majors on UW website for more info.
Be prepared to show up and work hard.
@woohooman We recently attended the Foster information session/tour. The admissions rep said that UW makes all the accept/reject decisions and that is when the In-State/OOS state decisions are made. Foster receives all accepted applicants that listed Foster as #1 major choice. They do not review the essays but the UW admissions people have rated each applicantās essays. Then Foster decides the best candidates for direct admit. Iām pretty sure that decision had nothing to do with IS/OOS. But you can always apply Sophomore year. The only thing you miss out on is some Freshmen seminar, some networking events and, obviously, not having to go through another application process.
6 PM has arrived and my portal is not showing any decision.
iirc its from 6-7pm
The logo on the top left corner of my āAdmission Application Informationā page has changed to the University of Washington, Office of Admission.
Does anyone have the same updated?
Washington State is PST, which is currently 4:06 PM
@Nathan0086 What was it before?
I am so nervous.
@spotter3719 - not sure if you are east coast or west but I think itās 6 pm west coast so 9:00 pm east coast. Good luck!
@furniture It was the University of Washington logo only (without the office of Admission)
yea youre right its 6pm pst, best of luck to yall
how do you know itāg oing to be released at 6pm?
@cb2002 donāt think anyone knows. Post #92 had a college counselor saying btwn 4-5pm PT or it might be tomorrow. Last year they released at about 730p PT
Good Luck to you all!
Taking into account that decisions usually come around this time + the portal logo change, itās probably coming out today right?
@maglor1 I think the change of the logo indicates something is going to happen.
when did the logo change?
@calico0507 Today afternoon around 3 PM PT
Are UW decisions not released randomly for everyone at different times? It seems strange to me considering their 1-15 march timeline as stated on their website.
Also does anyone know if its released at the same time for international students?
