Official UW Transfer Thread 2020

Can’t wait to meet you guys on campus !!!

I got an official congratulations i have been excepted!! I’m over the moon.
I’m an instate community college transfer with a 3.1 GPA.
yes I know its the lowest GPA I’ve seen to get into the uw but I did it! I had a killer essay. I’m a 23 year old mom with a family and did a ton of volunteering/ interning for campaigns. and since I’m a political science student that matters.

lets do a meet up on campus for transfer students!!

Let’s do it! :smiley:

Nice! What major are you going into?

Political science! Also- I don’t have a Facebook. I was thinking I would make one though for the groups. That way I can be a part of the Facebook group for transfer students you guys made?

Is anyone else still waiting to hear back?

@hl0777 me

I still haven’t heard back :frowning:

Are acceptance letters being emailed or mailed?

@hl0777 I still am & OOS transfer.

@hl0777 I’m still waiting as well :confused:

@FakeNerd

I applied to summer.

I still haven’t heard back :confused:

I have a 3.35 gpa almost 90 credits I wrote my ps about me going through rehabilitation and has had an upward trend since summer 18… I EC’s (student govt)… I havent heard back, should i be nervous?!

I am also waiting to hear back on my application!
I hope we all hear back this week. The anticipation has been rough!

Here’s my stats:
3.87 GPA, In-State, about 90 credits
Military Veteran, enrolled in Community college full-time while serving active duty.
Aiming to get into the Informatics program and the ROTC program.

Best of luck to you all

To all that haven’t heard back…don’t worry! It’s still very early in the admissions process, and they’re no where near going through all the applications/departments yet. So far, most students who had to submit 2 apps have heard back (Foster/engineering/comp sci etc) and some Pre-arts and sciences gen admission decisions came out Friday (humanities/history etc). If you don’t fall into those categories, don’t panic! And if you do, you just didn’t make the first wave and you might be in the 2nd or third. We’re just getting started :slight_smile:

Hey guys,
do you think its worth it to put a deposit down for another school even if I got into my program for UWS? I still haven’t heard back from the general admissions yet and these other schools are waiting

If my registration page says I can register for classes but the admissions page hasn’t loaded, I haven’t gotten an email and my unofficial transcript for the Seattle campus hasn’t loaded, does it mean I got in? Lol sorry if this is a stupid question.

Hey @guacamole369 ! Where are you seeing that? New transfers can’t register until their A & O session. Do you mean you were able to secure an A & O date?

EDIT: I think I found the page you mean, and mine says I’m unable to register. Maybe you’ve stumbled across the precursor for the unofficial transcript trick??? Have you tried to register for anything?
