<p>Last year, Rice released decisions on March 23rd, which means the time for decision this year is very close! For those who are waiting anxiously…have a little chat here :)</p>

<p>@hurtnever… i think rice admissions are going to be geographically determined quite a bit this year… Rice is ambitious and wants to move up in rankings so students applying from non traditional areas … Oregon, North East (NY, Penn etc), Midwest will be at an advantage compared to those from south and texas…</p>
<p>i called them yesterday and they told me april 1st… so im not keeping my hopes up… but it would be good to know beforehand… i think it kinda depends on when DUke releases its decisions, since that is its crossover school…</p>

<p>I think rice will release decisions on date similar to that of last year…Rice doesn’t have much increase in applicant (less than 5%). Im so excited for Rice :D</p>
<p>Aghhhh I want the wait to be over! Rice is the least expensive school on my list (excluding state flagship) and cost is definitely a factor for me, as a FA-ineligible applicant.</p>

<p>funny story about what i put in the box… I saw that it was called a signature page, so i scanned my signature and put that in there. I later realized my mistake, but unfortunately it was too late. The good thing was i talked to an admissions rep who said that they were surprised by the number of people who did the same thing that I had done and are going to change the directions on the app for next year</p>

<p>This is a great idea! Thank you for starting this thread! I love Rice, I just visited it over spring break. I don’t think I have a favorite college but I’m thinking maybe Lovett or Baker? Lovett was the first one I heard about, and also it shares a name with Lovett hall, which I think is the prettiest part of campus. But I liked Baker too, because they were playing music the day I was visiting, and they were playing one of my favorite songs. I hope I get to go to Rice! :)</p>
<p>As for the signature, I drew a picture of Elvis Presley because I love him and I, too, am a hunka hunka burnin’ love.</p>

<p>I put a baked potato! I was really hungry and trying to finish it up, though weird thing is, when I finished my Rice app, it began snowing and now that decisions are about to be up, snow is just beginning to melt outside. A coincidence? I think not. Decisions will hopefully be out Tuesday!</p>
<p>Well its almost round 2 for me. I applied ED and was deferred. The waiting is killing me!</p>

<p>I remember the instructions for the box said “upload something that appeals to you.” So I uploaded a picture of chocolate.</p>
