Online it says financial aid notifications begin in March and continue into April - and that an email will be sent to the student’s OSU email when available
Has anyone received an email about the Morrill Scholarship yet?
Is OSU housing really a nightmare? My child is interested, but we don’t have an older student at OSU so new to the process. Just hearing stuff on FB is making me nervous. Anyone have positives to say about housing? Any advice for a worried mama?
What are you worried about? Most of spend are pretty nice at Ohio State

That is nice to hear! Thank you! I know everything is hearsay, and I do not know much about the housing except what I have seen on reddit and FB so far…so there ya go. I was on a FB post yesterday where parents were complaining about mold and hard to get housing second year. All I know is that my child is very interested and very excited to have been accepted to Fisher for accounting. We are attending Buckeye Bound in March so will get to see up close and personal. Just wanted to see if anyone has input on housing since I am clueless about it:) Any advice…I would love to hear it. Thanks!
Fisher is great. My son is a sophomore there now and is thriving. It is true there was a dorm last year that was closed due to mold and another this semester where a pipe burst from the cold weather, but things happen. On the broader pic, Ohio State has sunk a ton of money into building new dorms and upgrading ones built a while ago, so overall i’d say the dorms are great. Housing lets you pick 3 tiers of housing so if you pick tier 1, you pay a little more, but it guarantees certain dorms, AC, etc. So it’s in your control.

We did put down a deposit and are looking forward to Buckeye Bound in March. Very exciting! 
Did your son do Scholars or one of the LLCs? I wish my son would get Scholars, but I don’t think he will since it seems like you need really high stats (he did apply for Business Scholars, though). Hopefully, he can do either the Global Business or the Entrepreneurship LLC. I’m still figuring out whether it’s better to try for an LLC or not. If anyone has experience with any of these options, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Thanks!

Supposedly/hopefully today. Remind your child to check their buckeye email account.
They just started coming out. There’s a tile in the portal called “merit scholarship award”. The letter is there.

No email. I think they send something in the mail. There was no indication in the portal. We just happened to check the merit scholarship tile.

Anyone else having trouble accessing the site on an Apple device? It wasn’t an issue when decisions dropped.
We couldn’t open the merit letter on a phone. There is a tile in the Applicant Center called “Merit Scholarship Award”. I don’t think merit is released all at the same time, but I’m not sure.

Ohio State’s National Buckeye Scholarship info is visible for us. Does anyone know when Maximus, Provost and Trustee Scholarship info becomes available? My understanding is that those are available to OOS and consideration is automatic for EA candidates?
My D26 (OOS) had the Maximus and Buckeye one listed in the same merit letter.
I guess my DS (OOS) must have only received National Buckeye Scholarship then as that is the only one mentioned in his letter. Congratulations to your DS!
