Interesting. Wasnāt aware. All kids (including mine) always state āweightedā. Itās confusing and Iām pretty sure all colleges have a database and recalculate. So many high schools have grade inflationā¦.I know our local high school is guilty of this.
Thatās why it needs to be recalculated on a 4.0 scale using only core classes. Only way to compare apples to apples

You may have already gotten your answer, but there should be a second line on your app status screen showing an alternate campus. For my son it was Newark - I believe it to be based on where you live. Acceptance at a satellite campus should be guaranteed.
It seems a lot (not all, clearly) of highly qualified local candidates are sent to satellite campuses to make room for the OOS students on main campus. No one is going to come in from out of state to go to a branch campus and the university figures that if someone wants an OSU degree enough then theyāll suck it up and go branch for a couple/few semesters. The number 2 (of 650) at my sonās HS was denied main campus last year. He is now killing it in the honors college at Purdue.

Son got his acceptance for Finance Friday night. 4.0/4.6 with 17 IB/AP classes 35 ACT. Wondering when scholarships like Morrill come out. Family was a unhappy how the night unfolded. Decisions coming out in drips seems very stressful for the kids as my son was rechecking the portal many times throughout dinner. I had a strong feeling he would get in but the portal and acceptance process left a lot to be desired.

Thanks and congrats! We are from TX. I think the chances of eventually attending are very slim. We would much prefer direct nursing programs if we are going to pay OOS costs. I didnāt realize that OSU was not guaranteed nursing until we submitted the application.
Hi thereā¦sorry for late reply. Yesā¦ours says the same as you. We assumed was early pathway, but I guess that info comes in Feb. Its is a bit confusing. Wishing is was just a direct admit:)

Daughter OOS received email Friday morning to set up emailā¦ Received acceptance in portal Friday night to main campusā¦ Received confirmation email of acceptance from OSU on Saturday morning. OSU is #2 on her listā¦ Has also been accepted and University of Evansville and University of Iowa. She painfully waits this week for an ED decision from UVA (#1 choice)!!!
Nephew In Stateā¦ did not receive an email to set up emailā¦ did not not receive acceptance on Fridayā¦ But also did not receive any rejection/deferment. Painfully, will wait until next round of decisions in January. Has been accepted to Loyola University Chicago.
For what it is worthā¦ Our son is a graduate from OSU (May '22). He applied EA, but was deferred to RD. He was then accepted in basically the last round of decisions for that class on main campus. We truly understand the pain and agony of waiting for decisions to come from the school of choice/preference. Best of Luck to all going forward!!! And in the endā¦ Its seems to work outā¦

4 years of Latin, 5HN courses and 9 IB courses - course rigor strong towards her interest (Chem, Physics, IB Anthropology, IB Biology, IB Human Anatomy, AP Stats)

My OOS D24 is a little late in deciding to apply to OSU- okay a lot late! Do they ever give the Buckeye scholarship to Regular Decision applicants?

Congrats Speer- did you just find out or was this announced on 8th?.. OOS son is also aiming for Fisher-Logistics Mgtā¦ accepted MSU, awaiting Broad college of business thereā¦applied PSU,IU,UMICH,UTK,UGA,CU Boulder, UT Austinā¦ugggā¦ a lot more waiting ahead Iām afraidā¦
