Ohio State University Early Action For Fall 2024 Admission

I did. She said it didn’t mean anything - kind of had no idea what I was talking about. It’s possible the admissions folks don’t know the downstream IT impacts, so I’m not taking a ton of comfort. It does sound to me like a lot of people are getting this email. My daughter’s best friend who is a phenomenal student and I’d say 99.9% chance is getting in got the email. My daughter is much lower stats and didn’t. Not a good sign.

Can I ask if everyone is getting these emails at the same time or are they still rolling in?

My D24 got the Buckeye email at 6:49 AM this morning. She is OOS. Hopefully it’s a positive indicator. Good luck everyone.

My OOS son did not get the email about setting up OSU email sadly. I am assuming this probably means he will not hear back till the Janurary decision release or he was rejected.

We are in the same boat…OOS too and not email this morning.

I think it just means that it will be the Janurary decision release instead. When did you apply? I am trying to figure out if there is any reason around why some get today and some get in Janurary. My son applied just a couple days before the deadline date, so that might be why.

My OOS engneering son got both the email this morning and the Duo thing to log in to the applicant portal.

No email for my daughter today. OOS Applied 10/15

He applied 10/15 so maybe that is why

Ok. It looks like the earlier you apply, the more likely you are to get the first decision release.

Oddly, it seems most of the applicants who are receiving emails are either business or finance. Interesting.

I’m just impressed with sheer number of parents who either 1. have access to their kid’s school email account or 2. have the guts to ask them to check for this OSU email.    Good luck everyone!

My oos son applied business and did not get the email. Maybe he got rejected, but I always expected at least a defer with a 3.94 GPA and 1390 SAT.

Oh my gosh, same. I don’t have access to my daughter’s email and there’s zero chance I’m going to ask her if she got one.
