Not getting the email today doesn’t mean anything - it’s all random. My daughter applied early to both Penn St and Delaware and still hasn’t heard and they release decisions each week. It’s a random waiting game.
I agree that he’s likely to get in.
As far as I know, this has never been the case in years past. Always been random, half in December and half in January.
Right?! ![]()
Do we know what time these decisions should start officially rolling out on the portal beyond the email set up message.
Got mine two years ago around 3-4pm. Usually starts in the afternoon
can someone else confirm that this is the first year they’ve sent out these emails? on the day of decision release specifically? i can’t find anything about it in last years thread
It very well is random (or something no one has figured out) who hears today and who hears in January. If half the kids got emails and half didnt then Id say thats a good indication of one of those halfs being the half that hears today. Certainly how you winded up in that half is random, but not the correlation on getting a decision.
I never got these emails
Why are people that didn’t get an email freaking…calm down! Keep the faith!! Today is not over!
Did everyone get the duo login when logging in to the portal today? Yesterday it was not there.
just today got duo login. It was not there yesterday.
Same!
Why would you need “guts” to ask your kids?
Called the office and decision email will start at 3pm is what i was told.
So as someone that has been through this twice with the last time being last year I figured I would check in as today is a stressful day for those that’s child #1 is The Ohio State University.
The duo thing pre admission is new for this year. I am guessing if you got an email to sign up it’s might be a good sign but it may just mean your decision is coming today or it may not mean anything. I wouldn’t read too much into it. I have 2 Buckeyes, my first heard In January and my freshman got the good news one year ago today. They usually release rejections and deferred first around 3-4pm and then admissions. It goes on for hours with no rhyme or reason as to how it works. My daughter heard around 615pm last year.
Good luck to all!
Thanks for the info! So if you didn’t get an email this morning, is there any chance you could still get a decision this afternoon/evening?
since (from what i know) this email thing is relatively new, we have no idea so we can still hear today
My son got the email set up thing at 12:36pm!
I guess day is not done yet and seems like updates will continue till late in the afternoon.
