Congrats to all admitted today and in December… we were sadly deferred… OOS/ TO
Fisher applicant… I have some hope that once his application is reviewed again the staff will agree that he will make a great Buckeye. I’ve heard of others sending in a ā€œpetitionā€ or something… we’ll reach out to our Counselor and ask his advice… and give the school a call next week and speak with an AO… any other ideas?.. I have 7th semester grades in hand now which are in line with his current GPA… showing steady hard work in dual enrollment business pipeline and AP’s as well… he’s admitted MSU (-Broad?) Indiana (-Kelley?) ASU (Supply Chain) and deferred PSU (DUS) and UT-K (Supply Chain)… this one hurts more though… Cheers to all your hard work!

Good luck! Your son prefers Fisher to Kelley? Any particular reason? My son is a DA to Kelley (IU), Fisher and Carey (ASU) but he’s decided to go to Kelley if he doesn’t get into any of his dream schools.

If given the opportunity definitely do a ā€œLOCIā€ - letter of continued interest. Make sure to let them know he is still interested and if it is his number one make sure to say it. But the recommendation is to say something that you haven’t already told admissions - no need to put anything that’s already in your app. Hang in there and good luck in RD round!

As an admitted TO applicant to IU we’ve submitted a petition for Kelly… haven’t visited Bloomington yet, but after spending time on OSU campus this past summer for Buckeye Pre College I think that convinced him… along with the DA to Fisher for Logistics Management vs. competing for a spot at Kelly for Finance if the petition doesn’t come through…

Anyone else that was deferred today receive the deferral e-mail tonight? It sound like they don’t want anything additional? No first semester grades, no LOCI, nothing? Is that how everyone else reads it too? I’ll have DS call next week to double check but just seeing what everyone else’s take was.

Does OSU give scholarships? When will we know?

Is there any advantage to opening / activating the Buckeye email right now if son (Fisher DA) is waiting to hear from his dream biz schools before committing to Fisher? Are there any emails that are sent only to the OSU email and not his personal email now that he’s gotten admission?

Sometime in feb

You can certainly wait but no harm either in setting up his email address. If you don’t attend it will expire. But no emails sent so far to the OSU email address
