My daughter has gotten emails to her buckeye email - buckeye bound, fisher invite for events, and a couple others - I’m not sure if she also gets these at her personal email address but she told me she has had at least 6 emails come to her buckeye account too.
Did she get admitted in December or on Jan 19th? My son got admitted Jan 19th and he hasn’t received any emails (to his personal email) other than the official acceptance one and the one to create the buckeye account.

She was admitted the first round date of Dec. 8th - it did take awhile for sure!
Do you submit senior grades if deferred?
The email we received said they do not want anything additional sent to them. I wish we could but I guess they don’t want it.
Can you keep us updated if you call AO? Am also a deferred student and very sad. Hoping to also send In 7th semester grades and LOI.
Oh shoot. Just looked at my email and it says the same thing. That sucks
That sucks. Since I’m deferred, am I no longer in consideration for the Morrill scholar? Can anyone confirm? i thought I had a strong essay but its ok.
Not sure, i know regular decisions applicants are considered for it so im sure they’ll keep reviewing for a while, but i would email/call them for more info
thanks so much
Do you know if Morrill decisions are only released on Fridays?
Thank you for sharing. My daughter was accepted and it’s good to know that she’ll need to set up and check her BuckeyeMail regularly for time sensitive stuff. Some of the other schools where she’s been accepted also send emails to their personal email address about deadlines, so it’s good to know how OSU does stuff! Go Bucks and congratulations!
Daughter accepted.

Based on previous years, looks like Morrill decisions come out in the evening every other Friday. First notifications came out this year on 1/5, so likely also on 1/19, 2/2, 2/16, 3/1, 3/15, 3/29.
Good info!! I wonder what the rhyme or reason is for how they choose who on what dates….
My DS shared an email that said the same… " >The decision will be made using the information already submitted in your application; there is no need to send additional supporting information."
End of March is so long from now… he really wants to be a Buckeye…
That language sounds weird to me. Almost like they ran out of time. If they truly were on the cusp to end up being deferred why wouldn’t they want to see 7th semester grades and know of any updates to their application? Presumably regular decision students would be sending that information with their application. My friend’s son was deferred early action from a different school and was encouraged to send grades, LOCI, and even another recommendation to help make their decision.
yes that’s how I took it but I surely would like to update them because there have been a lot of positives (awards and higher class ranking) since the early application was submitted. almost makes me wish we would’ve waited for regular decision
exactly!!
