Ohio State University Early Action For Fall 2024 Admission

Missouri

@kitchencommando We are also in Michigan with very similar stats and results. We haven’t heard anything either and are concerned as well.

It is frustrating how the notifications for scholarships and honors are going out piecemeal. We are trying to be patient. How did your son receive the notification that he did not qualify for the Stamps scholarship? My senior never received any notification but it’s pretty clear she has not qualified as interview requests went out in January.

It was through email.

Out of State - 4.4GPA and 1470 SAT

My daughter just received her scholarship letter last week. Also OOS accepted EA.

Just got ours today as an OOS student. She got the provost and buckeye…is that the most you can get as an OOS student?

Thanks. We never received that email.

I just got my scholarships today.

I also just checked my portal, and it says my application is being evaluated even though I was accepted in the January round for EA. The Final Transcript thing is still in my To-Do list. Is this a glitch or what?

Edit: It just changed back to acceptance.

Son received his scholarship info in the mail today. I was definitely being too impatient. It’s not quite enough for us to consider OOS but it’s enough to put us within shouting distance.

OOS daughter (Nursing major) received her scholarship letter in the mail today…same as many above…Provost ($2,000/yr) and National Buckeye ($13,500/year):tada: Looking forward to visiting next month!

From last year’s thread, the latest post about receiving merit was around Feb 26.

" The Ohio State University announced today that the university is extending the deadline for students and families to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) until Friday, March 15 – a month later than the previous Feb. 15 deadline.

The university is also extending the deadline to apply for scholarships through ScholarshipUniverse to March 15. The shift in deadlines applies to all incoming and current students.

Ohio State is also moving the enrollment commitment deadline for incoming first-year students from May 1 to May 15."

from Ohio State to extend financial aid priority date and commitment deadline

Most of the ScholarshipUniverse awards range in the hundreds, however, there are some awards in the thousands and even a few valued in tens of thousands. If I recall correctly you can click a setting to only filter for merit. However, there are a lot more opportunities to win awards if you also have financial need (if your cost of attendance is greater than the calculated SAI/EFC).

"Number awarded 3,500
Amount awarded $11,560,795

In the 2023-2024 aid year,
19,545 applications were
submitted in ScholarshipUniverse
by 10,377 Ohio State students
(students can submit multiple
applications within the tool)."

OOS Son (1490 SAT, 4.66 Weighted GPA) also received a $2K Provost scholarship and a $13.5K National Buckeye scholarship. Received the letter on 2/12/2024. “How firm thy friendship… O-HI-O”
