its lottery for second year students (sophomore) and they require two years on campus. First year is done thru a process and i think paying deposit early is one factor that gets you preference. You can also specify room tier 1, 2, or 3–tier 1 you pay a little more but get air conditioning etc. you can also specify north, south, or west campus

Do you know if we can pay deposit without accepting? We are waiting to hear from two more choices next week. If so how much is the non refundable deposit?

It is 100% based on when you commit and the bad dorms are REALLY bad so it’s worth it to put down money early even if you’re not 100% sure. My daughter got majorly screwed on dorm this year because she was deferred and didn’t put down deposit until March. They told us at orientation it is all based on when you put down your deposit.

Anyone who has a music major hear back- we’re still in review- we’re told main admit and music admit done separately. So waiting on main admit- audition scheduled for a couple of weeks from now.

Our D25 ¶ got accepted . While status in review, there was no “campus” email (osu.edu). Also, there was no buckeyemail in identity profile. After accepted, within few hours, these new emails are updated. Seems like updates to email addresses is a good indicator
