S25 got deferred for Business school… Do you know the if they typically accept many deferrals? Any chance they will look at mid year grades. Kid just received his mid year grade report and has the highest GPA … 5 As (4 APs and One Calculus Honor class) and B in one honors… Wondering if there is a way we could send it as there is no option in things to do.

Also still “in review.” Humanities major. No buckeye email, but when she is logged in and goes to register for an accepted students’ day, it says congratulations. I’m wondered if her SAT scores got there too late, and now she’s regular decision?
It’s a standard page, so nothing to do with acceptance, unfortunately.

What does the text say after clicking? There’s no obvious “Deferred” designation. It’s just stated in the wording. This is what it shows for deferred:
Application Status: In Review
After an initial evaluation, we are deferring a decision on your application, which means your application is still under consideration but we have not made a final decision. Deferred applicants will receive a final decision in early March.
My D25 is an in-state music major applicant. She was admitted to the university first during the in-state EA notice. She did her auditions on Jan 11 and found out she was accepted to the music school the next Tuesday or Wednesday, I think.
When she clicks it just says in review again.
How do you know they were accepted to the Business program? Our accepted letter said nothing, but in his portal it has this (in case the picture doesn’t work, it says:
Program: Business
Plan: BS in Business Administration
I can’t see the photo you attached, but his portal says “Admitted” - Program: Business, Plan: BS in Business Administration, so I would assume that means into the Business Program.

The dreaded Lincoln Tower
As a parent of a current first year, I can tell you that the deposit date means nothing anymore when it comes to housing. My daughter put her deposit down right away (right after her acceptance in Dec) and she ended up in the dorm that got closed down this year for mold. A friend of hers who put her deposit down in April got a super nice dorm. Other than LLC’s, first year housing assignments seemed to be random for this years class.

My son just got into OSU and got into honors at Purdue. 3.78UW, 1510 SAT. Which is better OSU or Purdue?
Yes my son has exactly same and it is direct admit!

Depends on major. This is just my opinion. Purdue for STEM/Engineering and OSU for Business.
