Ohio State University Early Action For Fall 2025 Admission

Congratulations. Thanks for sharing

It was an email like the honors email

Thank you! After you get the email, does the portal also show the scholarship? That is how we see it with other schools.

We are OOS; merit was a separate email - I don’t remember the order - they came very close to each other.

I don’t remember seeing it in the portal yet - I’ll have to check later when my daughter is home because the two factor authorization goes to her phone

Same. OOS business, nothing about any merit.

Has anyone been accepted RD yet?

Two years ago, my son received his merit decision (nothing) on March 1st.

In state or OOS?

Has anyone received Morrill Scholarship notifications today? If you did, were you in state or OOS, and when did you submit your application?

Any stats on deferred? My son applied to data analytics in college arts and sciences got deferred. Anyone know last year what percentage of deferred students were then accepted?

Is it worth it to pay the enrollment fee to apply for the Scholars scholarship in Scholarship Universe?

Our S25 was accepted into Engineering Scholars, but he’s not listed as a scholar (and eligible for the scholarship) because we haven’t enrolled yet. We’re still weighing OSU vs. other schools.

What other schools are you weighing?

For Engineering (intended Aerospace):

Accepted:
Penn State, Maryland, Wisconsin, Rensselaer

Pending:
Virginia Tech, University of Toronto

He doesn’t want to consider the other acceptances now (CWRU, Embry-Riddle, Minnesota, Cincinnati, RIT, CU Boulder).

The Scholar’s program is a big deal for us for social and support reasons.

Congratulations-hope your kid becomes a Buckeye but lots of good choices. Let me know if I can be helpful at all. I went to Maryland and my brother went to RPI and my son goes to Ohio State so know the landscape!

If you are a student that qualifies for need based aid, make sure to apply for housing scholarships, too.

RPI should be able to provide one pretty decent merit scholarship, i would go with the in-state school in the pool of Accepted one. All great schools and lots of choices.
