Anyone receive the morrill scholarship recently? I’m still waiting? And do they decide based on who submitted first?
We are still waiting. I do not know how decisions are made. It would not seem to be awarded based on timing because my son kept getting emails to apply and that the deadline was extended to Jan 31st. So he applied a day or so before the deadline. I really have no idea tho

My daughter received the Maximus (3,000/yr - 12,000 total) and the National Buckeye (13,500/yr - 54,000 total). They were in her portal and she received an actual letter in the mail about them.

When did your daughter learn that she received the scholarships? Was it with her acceptance or was it later?
It was later - she found out about her acceptance on Jan 24 and then we just found out about the scholarships a few days ago - maybe about a week ago? the actual letter came in the mail two days ago.

Can you email the Morrill scholars about your Morrill scholarship status? I know it sounds kind of weird but I’m really anxious.
I have read on past threads the decisions are rolling and people can hear of decisions all the way to nearly the end of march, seemingly no rhyme or reason for the releases. We will hear either way, yes or no, which i think is nice, so we are not left wondering.
Do you mean for merit, scholarships or deferral and now rejected?
Confirmed with Financial Aid that up to this point, all Merit Scholarships except the Morrill Scholarship have been awarded. You can expect to receive a Financial Aid Award Package around Mid-March.
We are in state, accepted EA, awarded merit already. I am referring to the Morrill scholarship.
We are OOS and awarded Morrill and flying up to interview for Distinction at the end of the month - however with the banning of DEI initiatives being passed, what does that do to their scholarships since this is given through the office of ODI? I’m sure they are working through this but this makes me very nervous to accept a scholarship that could be pulled. We have already bought non refundable flights to go to the interview.
When did you get notice of Morrill? I thought about that, i figured they would reword/relabel as most colleges do.

A few weeks ago - she’s OOS, got accepted on a Friday and Morrill the following Monday
My DS just got a travel grant to attend Buckeye Bound. Anyone else? Think this is a great and smart idea to get accepted kids out to see the school! We are OOS and haven’t visited yet.

We did too but we are already going the March 1st weekend for the Morrill Distinction interview and that weekend is full, in fact only 2 dates left are showing up available
Yes, we got a travel grant, too. We weren’t expecting this so it’s a nice surprise and we will use it for our March 28 weekend visit.
