Ohio State University Early Action For Fall 2025 Admission

Agreed. I think we need someone to say they CANNOT register which would indicate that there is some validation around the login credentials and/or the OSU ID that is requested as part of the registration process.

the OSU ID is needed for buckeye day registration.

Agreed. I can register. You would think that wouldn’t be an option if you weren’t accepted because it is going off your name & ID to register
but you are right, let’s see if anyone tries & can’t register

Right but the question is, can everyone with a buckeye ID register? Everyone who applied got an ID when they applied to check their status.

I am going to try to register for a school my son is not admitted to yet & see if there is a block as a test.

I just tried to register for an admitted students day for a school my son is not admitted to yet (used his log on ID & password & it came up with an error message & said I was not allowed to register & if I thought there was a mistake and to call the admissions office. I feel like OSU wouldn’t be allowing every single applicant to register but

So my kid logged into admitted student days and he could log in. When he chose a date it said “congratulations on becoming a buckeye” and he can register. Sooooo is he in for sure?

There’s a disclaimer on the registration page. So I think all applicants can register with the applicant userID and password.

*This event is not intended for deferred students awaiting a final decision or students admitted to an Ohio State regional campus for Autumn 2025.

Yeah but most other schools won’t let you register for an admitted student day if they are not accepted.

True. I hope that’s the case!

Did you see a congratulations header?

Yes. After selecting one of event date, there was message:

Congratulations on your admission to The Ohio State University!

We’re excited to welcome you to campus and help you learn more about becoming a Buckeye.

We were able to do the same.

Last year the tell was an email that came in the morning of decision day asking the student to set up their OSU email. It was the absolute tell. Does anyone know if that happened for the in-state round? Wondering if they fixed that for this year or if we should all be hoping for an email this morning for our students?

Same here OOS but I’m almost certain my child will be deferred. Not esp high stats.

Do you get an application fee refund if you withdraw before decisions are announced? OSU didn’t even process my FAFSA and they make it obvious right there in the portal.

How do you know it’s not processed?

I don’t know that I would read into that. Lots of schools don’t process financial aid stuff until after a student is admitted. Why take the time to process it all for potential students that will not be attending?

Has anyone that has tried to register for the Buckeye Day NOT been able to?

Does anyone know the time decisions will be dropped? I can’t find that anywhere.
