ok college+scholarship vs good college

ok this is my problem. i dont know whether to go to a UC or a cal state. see, if i go to a cal state i can probably get into the honors program and get a full scholarship. but if i go to a UC i’ll have to pay for everything.
i want to become a nurse, so what college you go to doesn’t really matter, right?
but then i think my mom will be kind of disappointed in me if i go to a cal state. but i dont want to pay for something i dont need to. well actually my dad would pay but for the rest of my life he’d hold it over my head im serious. plus UCLA and USF are the only ones with nursing program i think and i dont want to go to either one.

why do you keep quoting me?
im wondering what you’d do in my situation.
or is the answer obvious so youre mocking me?/

Your college really doesn’t matter, if you plan to attend grad school. Go to an easy college, work hard and get good grades, and you will receive excellent recommendations from your teachers so you can attend a prestigious grad school.

lol…

i would say that you should go to the better undergrad school. i don’t think UCs are that expensive if you’re in state (not sure though).

UCs aren’t expensive if you’re in state.

Get a couple scholarships and there you go…Go to UC.

UC’s are expensive if you factor in room and board (well, all schools are).
I’m assuming the scholarship (if you were to get it) would cover that?

Eh… apply to the UC’s and see if they offer you anything.

If I was you, I would go with the CSU, not wanting a parent to hold that over me forever…

I’d go to CSULB just because they have such a good nursing program.
