<p>I’m applying for a certain scholarship of the federal government’s, and it says you can apply starting August 1st. My application is complete, and by all the laws of physics it has been August 1st for 22 minutes as I write this. I’m in the EST zone and so is the federal government.</p>
<p>I am sorely tempted to press submit application right this very minute, but then again I don’t want to risk anything. I don’t want to hit some quirk like “Oh well, for US August 1st is at 8 AM” or something like that. </p>
<p>Thoughts and opinions? Is it or is it not August 1st, by all standards and indubitably?</p>
<p>So you would be willing to bet your life that it will be accepted? Because if I apply before “August 1” the app is deleted, never seen, and I will never know. </p>
<p>Let’s see if I can get a consensus here. Never thought I’d have to ask a question like this…where’s Rebecca Black when you need to know the days of the week?</p>

<p>I called the scholarship technical support specifically to ask if there was a specific time. They assured me that, yes, it is indeed August 1st :D</p>
