Olive Garden’s ‘pasta passes’ for sale on eBay for as much as $4,500

“… A Never Ending Pasta Pass, priced to sell at $100 each, entitles a diner to seven weeks of uninterrupted access to the brand’s Never Ending Pasta Bowl, which will sell for $9.99 to those without a pass. Customers choose a pasta from a list that includes spaghetti and fettucine, a sauce from options that include Asiago garlic Alfredo and marinara, and a topping such as meatballs or shrimp.” …

The power of pasta.

I would not pay a penny over 4499.99!

I can just imagine all of the number crunching and marketing psychology involved in developing these passes.

Regardless, now I want some Olive Garden

Slow news day?

I can think of much less expensive ways to eat too much of food that isn’t good for me.

Beats terrorism news!

They were sold out in less than 1 second! No wonder I couldn’t get one. I was going to give the passes to a couple homeless folks that live in that area.

Useless to me. Pasta is the last thing I need to be eating.

For $4500, I’d rather go to Del Posto 45 times. :stuck_out_tongue:

(actually prefer the pasta tasting menu at Babbo, but either will do!)

Reminds me of the old joke about frequent flyer miles… the reward for flying too much for business is that you get to fly on vacation. In this case, the reward for spending $100 for unlimited pasta is that you get to get thoroughly sick of pasta.

^^^ I’d still rather go to Del Posto twice than OG 49 times!

While I like pasta as much as the next person…I’ll pass on the all-you-can-eat for it. According to an older cousin who managed a buffet at a hotel restaurant, grains and veggies are are the cheapest items with high profit margins in an all-you-can-eat situation and will bulk you up to the point you won’t have much room to indulge in the more expensive stuff: meats…especially seafood and fruits.

If there’s a steakhouse/seafood place or restaurant offering all-you-can-eat steaks, pork chops, poultry, seafood, etc alone…I’m right on it. Bonus if it includes an all-you-can-eat fruit bar…especially if it includes pineapple, jackfruit, etc.

Holy cow, cobrat, do you have a cousin for every occasion or what?

Cobrat- Do you listen to the 60s channel on Sirius radio? One of the evening hosts is Cousin Brucie and he refers to all the listeners who call in as “Cousin”. Is that sort of what you do? Just curious.

Maybe cobrat uses cousin like others use bro.

Yes, he does. I realized that when he said that according to former classmates who are now satirists, blah blah blah. How many of us have even one former classmate who has gone on to be a satirist, much less several?

You name it, he has a former classmate or a cousin or an older relative who has done it…and discussed it at length with him.

I come from a much smaller family and a smaller social high school and college social circle , so I can’t really relate, unfortunately…it would be fun to know so many people from every walk of life like that.

I am not familiar with jackfruit. Might be time to ask a relative about it. Hopefully one of them has had experience with it.

Do it for the pasta.

Jackfruit is good stuff!

Cousin is a synonym for google…
