OMG Life is so Hard and Complicated!!!

I schlep my tired body all the to Seattle every day just to get a scoop of that heavenly goodness. B-)

(Just kidding.) But OMG, where are they going to open their Eastside shop?

Thanks! Homegrown - blech.

If only life’s decisions were this easy:) I’ll take green tea mochi ice cream from Trader Joe’s

I need this thread today.

On Monday, I had a gum graft on three teeth. My mouth is sore.

Today, as I was driving around town minding my own business, a huge spring that holds up the axle of the front wheels rusted through and fell off. Car’s in the shop.

Not a good week. I’ll take a red whine – whoops, make that wine, please.

I just figured out that I can have more than one scoop of zero-calorie Molly Moon’s! If I run to their shop from my favorite spot, it will be 9 miles one way.

Molly Moons is way overrated.
But I dont like stuff in my ice cream, I can do that myself now that our yard is full of berries.
Plus, there are almost as many places to get ice cream within walking distance as there are micro breweries. Some of the micro breweries even have food trucks selling ice cream!
I like Häägen Dazs, but cant eat it anymore because I wont buy Nestle.
:frowning:
I like either Snoqualimie or D’Ambrosio Gelato.
And it is worth driving to Bellngham to go to Mallards.
Hell, between Mallards & Archers ale house & the fish n chip place in the double decker bus, I am seriously considering moving.

Ice cream flavor is a very important decision in life. I stood in line in Portland at an ice cream shop for probably 40 minutes, which is longer than I’d wait for a restaurant. It was worth it!

I’m confused!! Why only eat one ice cream flavor at a time??

Hot fudge Sunday!! When times are really tough.i just had my first hot fudge Sunday in years, a few days ago. I did a trail run to Mt Si (>3100 foot elevation gain in 4 miles), and I deserved it! But I only deserved a small.

What we need is wine-flavored ice cream… Syrah… mmmmm…

Might work better as sorbet.

They just opened a Rita’s ice shop down the street.
Mmmmmm, root beer ice!
So sweet and icy cold, it cuts through a bad week of work!

It’s sundae.

I’m a grammar nerd. Like Stannis Baratheon.

Of course, we all know what happened to him. :frowning:

Come to think of it, if there had been plenty of ice cream in Westeros, maybe more people would have survived the season 5 finale. It’s hard to think about killing people when you’re working your way through a pint of pistachio.

I just walked past Cold Stone and was not even tempted.

I like the Syrah sorbet idea!!

Cold Stone has the best hot fudge sundays.

Don’t even take the first bite, or you are lost.

I had the most delicious thing I’ve ever had in my life the other day – an apricot tart, with warm apricot sauce, topped with homemade apricot sorbet. All different levels of sweetness and tartness, with different textures and temperatures, and all with super-concentrated fresh apricot flavor, all infused with a hint of almond.

I indulged freely and let Uber deliver me home guilt free. Apricot season is too short to worry about any habit-forming tendencies flowing from this! (Though I’m already dreaming about adapting to plums, maybe with BB’s Syrah sorbet!)

Boom:

Me thinks me gonna make it! Store-bought sorbets are too sweet for me, so diluting them with wine will make them more palatable!

My annual cherry diet week has officially started! I came home with three large Costco containers of plump, juicy cherries and quickly gorged myself on a large bowl. Ahhh…

Please report back! And easy peasy!

Cherry clafouti time! So simple and so delicious. http://www.food.com/recipe/julia-childs-cherry-clafouti-239454 i like it for breakfast but it would be great for dessert with the lemon syrah sorbet!

PS – i love this recipe because it is not too sweet!
