One C+ on Transcript - Not That Bad or Horrible??

As I am finishing my junior year, I have come to the conclusion that I am getting a C+ in AP Biology. I started the year off horrible in that class, basically failing the first marking period BUT I got my grades up by a lot in the last three marking periods. Second marking period I got a B-, third I got a C+, and I think I’m going to have a B- or B for the fourth marking period. Although I improved, I believe I’m going to have a C+ on my transcript, which kills me because I’m an A- student.

I just want to know how BAD will this affect my chances of getting into some colleges I want to apply to?

I am thinking of majoring in either nursing or psychology (and later med school to become a psychiatrist). Colleges I am currently looking at are for nursing are Quinnipiac, Adelphi, Loyola Chicago, Towson, SUNY Buffalo, UPitt, Penn State, Florida State. For psychology, I am currently looking at St. John’s, Syracuse, Pace, Rutgers, Drexel, and all the other colleges I listed for nursing. I think I want to major in psychology more, though.

My grades so far are a B+ or A- in Anatomy/Physiology I Honors, A or A+ In USH II Honors, A in gym, A+ in band, A- in AP Lang, A- or A in French IV Honors, and B+ or A- in Precalculus Honors.
Sophomore year, I had a B in Bio Honors, A+ in band, A in American Lit Honors, B in USH I Honors, A in French III Honors, B+ in Algebra II Honors, A in gym, B- in AP Chem.
Freshman year m, I got a B in AP Physics, A+ in band, A- in Modern world history Honors, B+ in Chem Honors, A in gym, B+ in Geometry Honors, A in world lit Honors, and A in French II.

Still waiting for my SAT score, have not taken ACT yet, I am currently ranked 29/330 in my class (top 10%), my UW GPA is 3.6 and my W GPA is 4.3. I am historian of the marching band that I’ve been in for four years, member of four national honor societies, tons of volunteer work at hospital, French club member, on girls tennis team for three years, section leader for clarinets in my band class for two years, and I’m a member of academic decathlon and captain next year. I’m Asian-American (Filipino) from New Jersey:

Given all of my stats, will the C+ majorly affect my chances of getting into any college, specifically the ones I mentioned?

It’s not the end of the world. A C+ in a class like AP Bio is not going to ruin your chances at getting into a good schooll. It’s just one grade that’s not even bad. This is no cause for major concern

It shouldn’t be too bad, just be sure to get that SAT/ACT up.

Its not the end of the universe. Keep your other classes up and it won’t destroy your application
