One of Those Worrying Threads

So I’m planning on attending NYU Gallatin and I’m super excited, plus I got a $20,000 scholarship from them.
Only problem: I may get a C or C+ in precalc this term. I have an A or high B in all my other classes (APs) and I go to a really competitive high school. The C in precalc is just a term grade, but my school sends those to colleges.
It won’t affect my year or semester average for the class (a B+) all that much but it looks horrible. Also, I got a C+ in algebra last year but they accepted me anyway, possibly (this is speculation) because I improved by getting a B+ in precalc this year.

Am I running the risk of losing my admission/scholarship?

SatelliteHeart,

If the situation is as you have presented it, you should have not trouble maintaining your admitted status and scholarship.

The real problem comes in when you are getting 'F’s or bombing across the board. It seems like you are maintaining solid grades in other classes and as you stated, your semester/ academic year grade for pre-Calc should not change that much.

I would say, do not worry. Try to maintain your studies as is and you should be OK. :)
