For one of my classes, students are required to enter an online essay contest. This means that we must paste our essay into a form online… and all of the formatting disappears. During one part, italics are pretty essential to the sentence, as they emphasize a point and add a nuance that wouldn’t exist otherwise. Should I include HTML in the form, or would this only annoy the judges? Any other suggestions?

(and, yes, I realize that this is probably inconsequential… and that this thread probably is the most boring/stupid one on CC. What an achievement! Yay!)

Wellllll… that’s annoying. After submitting my essay, the stupid computer stuck all of my paragraphs together in one long, ugly lump. It makes me mad =(

Ah! I can’t believe it! I completely forgot about that option. Forget about having “a highly developed argument…” What really separates the winners from the losers is fluency in leetspeak =)
