So recently I purchased several things through the "internet". It's so convenient, and suitable. Just with the pressure of my forefinger, I could purchase items without while being indolent, plus shipping. However, after I purchased serveral items, I literally been opening my front door every 10 minutes like an eight year old waiting for Santa Claus. Evidently the UPS person will knock on the door to notify me, yet I can't retain my involuntary urge.

This type of situation ever occur to you guys?

I used to be pretty addicted to shopping online. I bought a lot of DVDs and games. I remember always peaking through my window too to see if the brown man was coming. I’m pretty much over it now because my parents stopped letting me use their card, lol.

I rarely purchase stuff online, but I often use rapidshare to download videos and ebooks (I don’t want to use the word “illegally”) that I really want.

Why in the world would you buy pirated goods? If you are going to do that, you’d be supporting everyone more by simply downloading them off the internet! Don’t support an industry that is making money off of other people’s work.

The same goes especially for bootlegs…though, I’m mainly reffering to a certain collection of items I have that has a big bootleg market along with it.

I get all of my packages sent to a UPS box since we’re rarely here during the day when the “brown man” comes, so I’m not really anxious about when packages arrive. I can just check the tracking numbers to see if it has been delivered. Tracking packages online is fun, I know the route from distribution center –> my house for several companies now (Barnes & Noble, Newegg, Target, HP, etc.).

Not really. Usually after your order has been processed, charged, and shipped, the company will send you an email notifying you that your order has been shipped and your card has been charged. The tracking number will either be available in that email, or maybe on an “Order Status” page on the website. From there you can enter the tracking number at ups.com, though there is usually a direct link.

lol I’m always ordering stuff online. But I have to run home from work to meet the UPS guy so that my mom won’t see how I’m spending all my money. :)

Those are known as escape symbols/characters, and they are far from being java-specific. :-P

I actually order a bunch of stuff from Japan, but since I always opt for the cheaper shipping, I can’t get tracking so I’m sort of in the dark the whole time :S Either way, it’s always fun when something suddenly arrives with no notice ^^
