<p>I’ve been thinking about taking an online summer class , but i will be in Vietnam this summer so i was wondering about the internet over there. I want to bring my laptop over there but some people told me that i will have to pay extra money for internet since its overseas… Is that true ? Also, I was wondering if there’s good connection there.</p>

<p>@dsi411 I don’t know who my internet provider is but i just want to know if it would charge me money overseas. BUt if i go to a spot that has free wifi does it mean that its free of charge and i get to use the internet for free?</p>
<p>OMG I’m on the same boat with you too! I want to go take summer online courses but I’ll be in Vietnam most of the summer. I think if you have access to wifi or internet overthere, then the main concern is if it will work in another region, not about extra charge since you’ll have internet access. Some sites may have sensitive location restrictions, for example ABC player (watching episodes of ABC programs) or Netflix or streaming services like that cannot be played or viewed in another country. So I think you should check with your online school to see if there’s any restrictions like that. If there’s none and you’re confident that you’ll have access to internet there, then I don’t think there’s anything to worry about.</p>

<p>Yup! I would do that too myself, but I’m on spring break so have to wait a week to ask. Is the online course you’re about to take specific to your school, or is it available to other kids too?</p>
<p>I think it’s for the schools around the district, i don’t know how online classes work since its the first one i’m taking. I don’t know whether i’m suppose to go online at a certain time and etc. I just hope i’m able to take the class ,but my summer vacation won’t really be a vacation at all :(</p>

<p>@thealvintran I want to take trig, so next year I’d be able to get into pre-calc. I need to at least take precalc if i want to major in engineering. What classes are you gonna take ?</p>
