Hello guys! I am a sophomore in High School and will be soon starting the debate team and Model UN at my local school, I am going to do the Massachusetts Science Fair, Science Olympiad, Math Team on top of that. I want to know if you guys know anything relating to the topics of bio, politics, and debating. These include clubs, especially competitions, camps, etc. I want to become a Bio God, jk. But I am really dedicated to biology as a future career and hopefully politics. I am not the best at debating but want to see if you guys know anything that will help me or others on this website. I want to make a big difference in my community and our school lacks clubs. I want to get few friends together and see what we can do because I want to see our town progress and just do what I like to do in High School. If you guys know any clubc, Democratic Party organizations, etc, it will help.
On the bio front, there’s USABO and Science Bowl.
I’m gonna add iGEM. Lookitup! It’s a bioengineering competition (for highschoolers)!

If you have an at least moderately sized university nearby, there’ll be a biology club.
Edit: If you take the time to learn bio-stuff on your own, there is much opportunity for university internships. Commence the mass e-mails!
Politics has something like this, too: government internships. Try getting involved with reelection campaigns, contact your local governor, stuff like that.

I don’t suggest doing Model UN, especially if it’s run by a student.
^^ I disagree. Model UN is a fantastic experience! Even if your school team is disorganized, you can attend conferences individually.
Don’t be concerned about being bad at debate. I’m a senior and I’m still not the best. What type are you doing?
