Ord Diff Eq 3255 v. 3250

Per request to use my own ID, this is form my earlier post and looking for help. Thanks.

I am a frosh who exempted out of the calc sequence and took linear algebra this semester. I am considering majoring in physics and/or math and thus considering taking 3250 or 3255 in the spring. I know 3255 is the physics ORD class. Does this class also fulfull the ORD requirement for math majors? How is professor Kriete compared to professor Lasiecka? Is the ORD class primarily numbers/equations or proof based? Thanks for help!

I can’t imagine it wouldn’t count. You can ask someone, but I’m guessing at the worst you’ll have to fill out a course substitution form, which I’m sure they’ll allow (I know PDEs is an acceptable sub, so 3255 should certainly work as well). I have no idea who Lasiecka is, but I’ve heard good things about Kriete.
