Hello! :]
I’ve been thinking a lot about organizing some sort of community event (a religious thing) but I’m not sure how to actually do it. I know I’d have to gather up other people who are interested, which I think I can do, but will the adults in charge of everything actually take us seriously?
People I know have tried to organize events but ended up giving up on them because they weren’t taken seriously by authoritative figures. What can I do to myself more convincing?

well what do you want to do exactly?
To sound convincing you need to know what you want to do.

I think you need to figure out exactly what you want to do. Who would you want to come? Make a list of how much it would cost, what you’d need, who you’d invite, and where it’d be held. Then maybe talk to your parents about it, and ask your friends if they’d like to help out. Send out a FB message or email or just talk about it with your friends and tell them to talk to their parents about it and see if anyone wants to get involved. Since it’s religious, I’d get your church involved and people that you know that go to that church. Good luck!
