The people I know either loved “The Black Swan” or thought it was silly. I haven’t found a lot of middle ground. I thought friend of mine was going to cry to when I told him my reaction at the end was “well that was stupid.” He seemed almost personally wounded.

On the other hand, I haven’t talked to anyone who didn’t like “The King’s Speech.” I think part of its appeal is that it is true - for the most part anyway.

I did not love The King’s Speech. It was okay and while I thought Colin Firth good I never for a second forgot it was Colin Firth. Basically, I thought it was the story of one of the richest men in the world, with a speech problem and a bad temper. Entitled and not very likable.

I liked “The King’s Speech” quite a lot, but I have to say that it was pretty conventional story full of great British Ac-Tors. Personally, I liked “Inception” better, but I can’t imagining it winning the Oscar.
