Oscars Dresses 2020

I don’t think I saw anyone mention Kerry Washington’s Oscar dress - I LOVED it!

Didn’t watch the whole show and didn’t see all the outfits but I think the skirt of Kristen Wiig’s dress looked like a big lasagna noodle.

^^Or fat ribbons of frosting on a Valentine’s Day cake!!

Wiig’s dress made me think of a bug - some sort of grub. I took it as a joke on her part.
I agree that many of the older women looked wonderful - it must be very expensive to keep skin looking like that!

@cgpm59 Thats what Al Roker said the mornig after the Oscars- that Wiig’s dress looked like lasagna.

I am way too male to be participating in this discussion. That said, I thought Kristen Wiig looked great, dress and all. The color was great, the top (and her haircut/dye job/makeup) gave her a very classy, classical beauty look, and the lasagna bottom was whimsical and fun without being completely ridiculous. The only part of the dress I thought missed the mark was the long, limp cape/train, which looked like a stray noodle from a different lasagna box. That was unnecessary.

Of course it was not a lasagna noodle. Everyone knows it was a fruit roll-up.

@skieurope LOL

Was that the young girl in the hideous pink gown?

Yup

Someone mentioned her before and I had to bite my tongue.

Beautiful girl who did a fabulous job in the film. Not such a big fan of her dress, though.

She’s 10!!

I enjoy judging actress’ gowns with the best of them, but I think anyone who is 10 gets a special dispensation from being judged.

What do you want from a dress designed by a 10 yr old kid? The most important part is that she herself thought that she looked like a princess.

Kudos to Christian for giving her exactly what she wanted.

I think when I was 10 I drew some similarly hideous dresses and thought they were fabulous. ? Glad that she is still a 10 yr old kid (and lol about sneaking a dish from the kids menu into the chichi place)!

I promise I won’t say it’s hideous to her face.

I thought the ten year old looked cute. She’s ten so she gets a pass.

“Not a fan of the dress” in a forum she will not be reading isn’t that big of a transgression. Tweeting it to her would be mean.

She is very cute, though, no matter what she’s wearing. And I am sure we are going to be seeing her in TV and films for many years. She has so much more talent than most child actors that get work in Hollywood.
