Last year for RD, RIT sent in the mail a large “RIT BOUND” packet/envelope to accepted students. Then the online portal was updated a couple of days later. The first acceptances last year were received on February 17th and then continued until mid-March.
If anyone has any questions, I’ve been on campus for about a month now.
Or DM me.
No idea if it will be the same but last years thread showed students starting to receive their acceptances in the mail on 2/17 ongoing. Good luck everyone!
large envelope came for D today, just waiting for her to get home after play practice so she can open it
omg! are you in state? We are out of state and our mail doesn’t come until 4 or 5.
@mommabear67 Did her portal change at all to show acceptance? And I second the question - do you live near RIT?
In the past they update the portal a couple of days after receiving the mailing.
Dang! I’m in California I hope I receive it today
We are 4 hours away.
Keep in mind they say decisions sent by mid-March. If we don’t receive anything right away it doesn’t mean anything.
…additionally, the acceptances are sent out by program. Computer Engineering seems to always be last near about April 1st so we have a long wait. Film and animation seem to be the earliest.
@mommabear67 what program did your daughter apply to?
Nothing in the mail for us yet.
Nothing in the mail for us in Kentucky today.
Big envelope in the mail here today for DD – we’re in upstate NY.
@CARacing Computer science
I got an acceptance letter in the mail from a different school LOL. I’m from Cali tho so I don’t expect anything from RIT 'till next week maybe.
Big envelope here too, in upstate NY. Biomedical engineering. My daughter won’t be home until tomorrow to open it…
Congratulations to all of you with the big envelope!
