Well I have been reading the posts on this board, and a lot of people seem to hold the Ag college up to a not so high standard. I know that they do have “lower stats” to get in the college but still… It is degrading to read about how “low” the agriculture college is, when in fact it is one of the best in the nation. All im saying is please dont act like anyone who gets a GPA uder a 4.0 is stupid, because that is very much not the case… I tried hard through out my high school career to get my 3.8 and I am very proud to be accepted to Cal Poly- College of Agricuture, a lot of my friends who applied were denied.

So I guess all im saying is watch how you put things and try not to degrade others, not everyone was blessed with the ability to get a 4.99999999

You are quite right. Everyone has their own area of expertise… The college of Ag is very near and dear to my heart, couldn’t hope to meet a nicer overall group of people anywhere. They are the heart and soul of the reputation of Cal Poly, and people should not forget that! As for GPA’s, they are all but forgotten once selection is finished. My friends from Ag (who are now very well off in Ag Buisnesses) and I never discuss our graduating GPA’s when we get together for wine and dinner! Only how much fun it was and how the world has changed since college.

And to the people who applied to Ag to transfer to another college, Good Luck! Taking those Ag classes won’t be as easy as you think! When the Ag major gets the job done in four, and it takes you 5 or 6 years (that is, assuming you get to transfer), who really was the smartest after all? Every major has a stereotypic member, you all need to drop the stereotypes and look at the people beneath. Cal Poly is a great school and the diversity of race AND majors is what makes it so great!

Let all the pretentious people who criticize based on ranking go to Cal.
