Our friends' quirky habits.

We all have quirky habits, as do our friends. What quirky habits of our friends are extremely obvious?

When I was at CTY, one of my friends was the campus heartthrob. He was good-looking by any standards. Girls in my class just stared at him dreamily. It was quite funny. But he wouldn’t dance with any girl unless she beat him at trivial pursuit. Essentially, he said, “I only like smarter girls”. Go figure, huh?

What about your friends?

That’s awesome. He wouldn’t dance with me, though.

By demonstration I mostly date guys who are autistic, so they have very quirky habits. One friend of mine uses “aids” as a swearword. She also touches people she doesn’t know, like she’ll play with people’s leg hair and stuff. Another friend won’t eat anything besides pasta and hamburgers. Well, he’ll eat pizza and frozen yogurt, but that’s only when he goes out to eat. Another friend drives a hybrid.

Driving a Hybrid is a quirky habit?

Yeah, I was trying to be funny. Apparently I failed.

I guess it helps that it’s a manual-transmission hybrid and he knows bloody everything about it.

I have pretty normal friends. A little too normal, I guess. However, one of my close friends has the driest, thinnest, and wrinkliest fingers I have ever seen in my life! She is really sweet and physically beautiful, but the look of her hands are really unsettling. It’s so odd.

Hmmm. I have a friend that likes to sleep in class. She also carries around stuffed animals, and likes to wear coats in the summer. She would keep on doing the last thing, but the teacher stopped her. She’s fourteen, like me.

Another friend had a phase when she would bark like a dog whenever a car passed by.

I have a friend who has hip-length hair. If someone bothered her in the school hallway, she would just swing the hair so it would hit someone’s face.

There was group of guys at my middle school who would force one of their friends to lie on a desk, and then karate chop them. Apparently, the point of this “game” is to karate chop the person lying on the desk until they start to move.

Another guy (same group as before), liked his pants really low. You could see his underwear quite clearly. Sometimes, in the middle of band, he’d walk into the instrument room and change into his PE pants (which were a bright red.) Also, he liked to take off his shirt. Sometimes, he’d go shirtless, or he’d wear a really tight tank top. It made the substitute teachers really uncomfortable. (He did have an okay torso though.)

All these kids were in the gifted program at my middle school. (I’m an incoming freshmen.)

I like to sleep in class and carry a pillow around… but I don’t think I’m weird…

One of my friends has a huge issue with talking to new people, another likes to sing random songs at random times, and another has the weirdest laugh you’ve ever heard, haha

???
???
???

^ Well out of 8 guys, 5 of them have been somewhere on the spectrum? So I guess it’s not most, but it is a majority. I think coincidence and a tolerance for weird people work in my favor here. Also the thing where I want to talk to people if they have no friends.

I have a friend who has like a clothes fetish
