<p>i think you have a good chance with your grades, ec’s, and act, but a friend who applied who was completely qualified like you got waitlisted, so i wouldn’t be 100% confident. i think it’s just harder for out of state people to get in</p>
<p>Just understand that UVA is horribly competitive to get into. Even in-state with your stats or above get rejected- and VA funded its schools with a strong, clear comittment to residents. However, there is a trend at many state schools to seek full-pay OOS, for the revenue. Don’t know if this applies at UVA.</p>
<p>I think that you have a very good chance. Kids like you from our OOS HS get in with strong scores and high grades in tough classes. Make sure you stress how interested your are. Good luck.</p>
