Hi there! I am looking to pursue a BFA in acting. One school that I am very tempted to call my “Dream school” is Pace. I’ve looked into their programs, and they seem like an excellent fit where I can see myself excelling.
I am very curious as to their callback process, though. Through research, I understand that the callback process is in 3 parts with a monologue section, duet scene, and movement call, and that all 3 need to be passed to get in. The one part of the callback I do not understand is the “Movement call.” Could anyone who experienced this part of the callback (or maybe even someone who did a movement call at a different institution) help explain to me what that entails? I know there is a difference between dance and movement calls, but I’d love to know what to prepare for going into when I start submitting applications this fall!
