Hi all! My name is Elle and I am a transfer student waiting on the decision from Pace University BFA Acting FTVC program. I know the decisions should all be out by the end of march but I’ve seen that in recent years they’ve come out a bit sooner. I have yet to see any thread talking about pace performing arts for this upcoming school year, so I wanted to make one. I am nervously awaiting the decision so I wanted to make this thread for others who feel the same and are looking to know if any acceptances have gone out. Feel free to share if you are comfortable. Hello, Elle! To my knowledge, there have been no regular decision releases for Pace’s FTVC, MT, or Acting programs for this year.
Here’s what was reported for the three Pace BFA theatre program last year:
- Acceptances for the MT program were released on 3/10, with wait list notifications sent on 3/14.
- Acting program acceptances went out on 3/10, with declinations reported on 3/15.
- FTVC program issued wait list notifications on 3/14.
If their time frame is similar this year, you may have your results within the next week. I hope that the news does come quickly and that it is good news! I love that the program you are applying to includes significant training in VO. That industry has undergone lots of changes since the beginning of the pandemic, and now with AI (which carries both threats and opportunities. Exciting times, and I wish you well with your career!

Wow, thank you so much for the information and well wishes! And yes the v.o aspect was something that initially drew me to the program. I think it’s so unique and I’m glad it creates a space to train in so many different aspects. I wish you well on your life endeavors and hope everything works out for you!!

Any information regarding Pace commercial dance acceptances?
I have no official indication of this year’s release date, other than “by March 31.” In prior years, the decisions for Commercial Dance have been released in mid-March. If Pace follows a similar timeline this year, then you won’t have too much longer to wait. When the decision comes, I hope it will be a good one for you and your family!

Yes, I just got my decision back today at 4 PM. I was waitlisted for the program. Very disappointed but just trying to keep hopeful that there’s a spot for me eventually.

I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for you, as well. I hope that you have some other interesting options to ponder as you await news on waitlist movement, which I expect won’t begin until after May 1st deposit deadline for admitted students. Hang in there!
My son is still waiting to hear back on a placement in the BFA Commercial Dance program. Hoping to hear something this week! Best of luck to all of you out there - it’s a stressful time.

My son received an email today and received an acceptance into Pace’s BFA dance program. Not sure if they are rolling decisions out all week or exactly how the process works.

Congratulations to your DS on his acceptance! 
It does look like Pace is spreading things out over multiple days. Grandson received his acceptance and scholarship award yesterday. Good luck to all those still awaiting news.
