CountingDown - Happy tO hear you are okay. My cousin did the same thing to my grandmother years ago when she had aheart attack. Glad to see your around again.

CD - HOORAY for you S2!! Glad to have you back ;)

woohoo CD!!! so proud of your S2!!! and so happy to see you back on here with us.

CD: Great to have you back! Cheers to CPR!!!

Wow, CD, it gives me goosebumps to think about your son saving your life!! So how long a period do you not remember?

DS is getting a little lethargic - sleeping until late afternoon. We’ve let him take it easy for awhile now, so we have to come up with a plan to keep him busy. At least he’s working out. His blood test results included high cholesterol and a few other bad numbers, so he’s trying to lose weight. I’m still on WW - down 17.3 pounds so far.

YDS, I’ll be thinking about your son tomorrow! Hope everything goes smoothly.

CD so nice to see you posting here again, now I know you really are all right. :)

I know there’s still plenty of recovery left. Good luck!

watching the queen’ concert and enjoying it until…like a ton of bricks… paul mccartney is on and i realize he is 70 years old this year!!! geez makes me feel old!

P56, Mom and I were watching the Jubilee concert too. Wasn’t the Queen supposed to speak? I’m feeling like I missed something. And where was Prince Andrew and Princess Anne these past four days?

You’re right C_mom. It’s BB1 who has the unpaid internship. Tomorrow is day one.

CountingDown, Oh my. I didn’t know S2 had to do CPR. Thank goodness he was right there.

ProudNJ. Wow, doing a run to Costco as part of your job? I want that job.

YDS, weight loss, braces off. oral surgery. Two out of three ain’t bad.

CD, I’m so glad your ds was able to save you. Is it wrong of me to think that that would have made a great college essay? :D

I’m starting to get nervous about ds’s surgery. Can I borrow the PVC tomorrow afternoon? He’s made the best of his time home thus far. In 24 hours he’s gone to a party, eaten at a local favorite and is now at the movies with a friend who’s about to leave town for the whole summer.

Wow to CD & CDson!

Good luck to Youdon’tsay’s S surgery.

Looking forward to getting S home tomorrow. But it seems silly that he has to check out of the dorm and then back in again in 10 days. I know, they need to clean it and probably sterilize the bathrooms…

We’re about to fall off page one, so I brought coffee! :)

Thanks for the coffee, mommusic!

CountingDown, {{{Hugs}}} to you and your heoric son. Here’s to a smooth recovery–with full internet access!

YDS, Sending PVC thoughts your way.

Congrats to our recent grads!

good morning all, thankss for the coffee mommusic!!

pvc, locked and loaded and pointing at yds S today!!!

Wow, CD! Give your S a hug from your cyber friends!

So I think I started posting on this thread right before senior year started in 2009. In October of that year I broke my left foot. It healed. A year later while at Ithaca I broke my foot again in the same area. Took a longer time to heal and involved physical therapy.

All of 2011 - No breaking of bones.

June 3, 2012 - I misstep on the stairs and seemed to have broken my foot again. It is the other foot - my right - and hurts a hell of a lot more. Urgent Care saw an irregularity and I am on crutches with a splint and unable to drive. I’ll see the Orthopedic tomorrow where I see an impending hard cast with crutches in my future.

I hereby proclaim myself Clumsiest Member of the 2014 Thread.

mdem, what’s up with that??? Argh. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for the PVC. Ds is still asleep so you can see that he’s really worried.

mdemvizi–ouch! Hope you heal quickly.

And hope you are avoiding soft drinks and drinking your milk? ;)

Mdemvizi, I share that title with you. Years ago, I slipped and fell and ended up with 3 fractures in my ankle. {{{Hugs}}} to you.

Good morning!!

Happy Wednesday!

P56: When you were watching the Jubilee did you happen to see D1 and Grandma? I haven’t heard from them in a couple of days, so I assume that means they are having fun.

Mdem: Ouch! S2 has broken his left humerus twice, his right once and his right wrist. D1 broke 4 bones in her foot (crushed under a teter toter) in 5th grade, and had the stress fracture in her back (leading to all kinds of problems). I think they are under the impression that they get frequent flyer miles at the orthopedist! Quite a while ago we told S3 if he made it through high school without breaking a bone we would give him a thousand dollars. We are getting closer to that. Although his nose is a little crooked so maybe he broke it at some point.

mdem - So sorry to hear about the latest injury! Hope it heals soon, and stops hurting MUCH sooner than that.

Only one more day till I get to see my kiddos. They were both quite stressed out yesterday about various things, so of course I’m a bit stressed out too. Hope they’re having better days today.
