<p>Thanks for the info Geogirl1. I just found a Target and BB&B in the same mall in DC. Things are looking up. I was starting to get a little worried about the logistics of buying everything there and we really only have half a day to get everything purchased and packed up so we can move our D in the next day.</p>
<p>Both of my sons received the Velcro towels as graduation gifts with their names monogrammed on them. You have to remember that my son is the one with the “dude theme” for his dorm room, so the idea of a fancy towel was lost on him! DS13a called it a man skirt and DS13b called it a bath kilt. It’s not something that I would have bought, but I think they will use them. They have a large pocket on the front where they could put a toothbrush, toothpaste and shaving stuff.</p>
<p>I feel deprived because the BB&B coupon that I got in the mail yesterday clearly states 20% off one single item! It’s the “Shop for College” flier. I have a big collection of BB&B coupons and one of them with an expiration date of 6/17/13 is off the entire purchase. I wonder if I can still use it. I didn’t notice that “off entire purchase” until you folks mentioned it yesterday. I should have used it already! But, I’m just starting to think about this whole process now.</p>
<p>As I understand it, they ignore the expiration dates on the cut-out coupons (in flyers, papers, snail-mailings, etc.) but they enforce them on the emailed coupons.</p>

<p>Hey parents! Haven’t been here in a long time but noticed you’re talking about shopping and roommates so I thought now would be the perfect time to interject! </p>
<p>After months of talking To my roommate I finally met her at orientation and we completely hit it off it was great ( can’t say the same for everyone though) orientation was a blast despite my 7 how of sleep in 2 days. </p>
<p>Shopping! I’m pretty sure I’m all done, my roommate and I are sort of matching but that’s been more difficult than we anticipated. I got a plastic shower caddy at Walmart for 3$ i found that using that is easier. Or hard of Velcro towels but I wouldn’t get them only because of the amount of noise they make when pulled apart. My roommate and I have different schedules. So I would hate to wake her up. At orientation i found out that wrapping a towel wasnt too hard, i also found that the guys really don’t care lol</p>
<p>Check the housing agreements to see if you are allowed to bunk or loft the beds. If not, I would reccomend the bed risers. The store, Tuesday Mornings, has an online option, (listed under Bath), for the shower wraps. These are plush, have straps and velcro and are only $9.99. I have found that my son and his friends had dark color comfortors and didn’t care if they matched or not. The laundry pods are great. Also, if you are going to a college town with just 1 local Target or Wallmart store, may I suggest to order the items on line and have them delivered to the campus post office?</p>

<p>I haven’t gotten the 20% off the entire order coupon, but I used a 20% off one item to buy S2 a new suitcase from BB&B. Can’t really think of anything else he needs. We’re busy purging our belongings for our big move. I can’t give things away fast enough! I’m only letting each of us keep (at the most) 10 of any item - 10 pairs of socks, 10 pairs of underwear, 10 t shirts. We are learning to be minimalists.</p>

<p>Hang in there fir the coupon in the mail. Just got it today here in the bottom left corner of the nation. Have never shopped BBB before so I had to focus on the mail pile to find it.</p>
<p>anniezz- I didn’t get a coupon from BB&B off entire order this week either. Maybe it’s the part of the country we’re in. I’m in Boston. I did have a twenty percent off entire order that had expired in June. They honored it today! My son and I actually had a fun time there today. We got most of what we went in there for. The staff was so attentive. They did give him a sheet that had each dorm at Harvard listed and what would be needed for living in them. He hasn’t received his dorm/roommate assignment yet so we had to wait on some stuff.</p>
<p>I’m now worried that 10,000 families will all be descending on the Evanston BB&B on the same day and that we’ll end up waiting for four hours to get our order. Is there a way to avoid that kind of crush?</p>
