Good luck to her for a speedy recovery! The two key things are Disability Services and each individual professor. If the latter is any trouble for her, she needs to contact the Dean of Students.
I’m hoping she also has some follow-up appointments and will get rechecked.
That’s one thing about my son’s college, they are pretty good with Disability Services.

She decided to drop her Organic Chemistry class, leaving her with 13 credits (still full time). So far her professors are being lenient. She has a form to fill out for Disabiltiy services to see if she is eligible for any accomodations.

@bopper as long as her health is continually improving that is the most important thing.

@mom24boys, so glad all is well, and hope it will continue to be so!! My D was in Europe for 10 weeks this summer, so I can relate to your worries. She came home safe & sound, having had an amazing experience. Safe travels to your son!!!

She has gotten extra time accomodations for her classes…it is just taking her a while to feel better.
@bopper glad she got the accommodations. Does her school have a fall break? Would be nice to get a little breather for ongoing recuperation. Best to your daughter.

Yes they have a little fall break. We will take our annual retreat to a YMCA camp in the Catskills.

D is in the midst of application, travel planning, coordinating money, getting courses approved etc. for spring semester.
D15 went to Rome for a summer program then traveled afterward. She had an amazing experience, made some lovely new friends, matured a great deal, and came home safely. Couldn’t ask for more. Where is your D planning to go? It’s a very exciting time!
S15 is having an amazing semester in London. The program doesn’t have classes on Friday so they can do all kinds of field trips, this past weekend was an overnight to see Stonehenge. He plans to go to Ireland over fall break and do a weekend in Scotland. One of his course is Museums of England and another is Walking Tour of London. I hear from him more now then when he was at school, more to tell. It seems like a great experience.
@jmek15 New Zealand. She needs a specific course for her major (which she chose as a soph - didn’t take a single course in it the first year so was a little behind) that semester and this U is one of very few that offers it in a way her department will accept in lieu of its own.
Had that not been the case I think she would have gone to a Spanish-speaking country. I am sad she won’t get the chance to turn all these years of language study into fluency, but it is what it is and NZ certainly sounds exciting.
Daughter is not doing an overseas experience, though at her school junior year is the big year for it. She wanted to take some courses that are only offered every other year that conflicted with taking a term off campus. She grew up overseas so she knows what it is like to live in other cultures and learn/use the language. She is, however, involved in a project right now that could benefit the country where she spent most of her childhood and she is really excited about that.
I know some schools have the option to study elsewhere in the US. Anyone doing that?
D15 is having the time of her life doing a semester in the UK. She spent two weeks traveling around beforehand and has no classes on Monday,so planning various weekend trips.
My daughter got up at 2:30 this morning to fly from the east coast to the southwest to present a poster of her summer research project at a national convention tomorrow. I can’t have imagined doing that at her age. She’s going to be toast by tomorrow night. Good thing she is young and the convention bumped up against fall break.

Hey all, I need some help. D is ready to hit submit on her first app. When she goes to the “review and submit” page, she just gets the PDF to review her app but there is nowhere to sign it or pay the fee. Any suggestions?
