Congrats @MidwestMomTo2
Hoping my S will consider ASU. Too hot for this D.
CONGRADS @Midwest67! Love the avatar.
DS had similar issues @oneundecided finding an opportunity to take engineering courses during study abroad. Engineering programs are so sequence driven that taking a semester abroad could easily add a year to the program otherwise.
@me29034 one of the small liberal arts schools that is at the top of my sonās list allows the student to pay the lower cost. If study abroad actual is a lower cost, the semester is a lower cost. The school didnāt tell us this, the tour guide did. It would be a good idea to check.
Congrats @MidwestMomTo2! Awesome choice!!
@carolinamom2boys Love the beach towel!
We have a decision!!! D16 will be a University of Delaware Fightinā Blue Hen come this fall! She is very sure and happy with her choice and so are Mom and Dad, so all is right with her decision in disembarking the S.S. Indecision in the port of Delaware (-:
@Skates76 wow, I thought your saga might drag on given the weather! Congrats
Congrats, @Skates76!
Iām glad your D found her place. And so close to home, thatās awesome!
Congrats @Skates76 <:-P
Congrats @Skates76 . For everyone whose decided , donāt forget to change your color on the accepted page.
Super congrats to the final decisions!! @Skates76 & @MidwestMomTo2 - you did good!
Still floating on the SS Indecision but, feel strongly we will join those deboarding next weekend!
We are at the airport ready to head home. D loves TN and can see herself staying here. Her classes/schedule are set for next fal, and she will be specializing in special ed. She will have 2 education courses her 1st semester. She is looking forward to being a college freshman.
Great news @sseamom .
It was indeed cold and gloomy, the dorm rooms are new, but far from spacious or special, but she is sure she found both her place and her people here (-: I agree, we knew it before she even said it. BTW, D initially refused to even consider UD, it was a Dadās choice that I basically kidnapped her to one weekend for a walk around visit, so yeah, Dad gets to say I told you so, lol.
Congrats on ASU @MidwestMomTo2, I envy the toasty warmth of your Dās choice and the great school to go with it!
Congratulations @Skates76!!
Thatās so exciting @sseamom ! Special Ed is a good path to take and Iām sure she will do great!
Congratulations @MidwestMomTo2 !!
So happy for all who have decisions made already! Feeling a bit wistful and still adrift hereā¦
On a happy noteā¦S16 just received a letter today awarding him a $4000 one time scholarship (from a local chapter of a professional organization) he applied forā¦so yeah! We had our fingers crossed, but were not super hopeful. Of course, depending on which school he eventually chooses, it may help reduce our out of pocket expenses, or it may just reduce a little of the need based aid provided. But, proud nonetheless!
Iām starting to get avatar envy. Congrats to all the new final decisions!
Congrats to everyone with decisions. I donāt anticipate joining you for the next two weeks. The school we are visiting now is as amazing as we expected it to be. Unfortunately now when she experienced this one the most economical option is off the table. My only hope to keep her in California is if she gets scholarship at one of the schools she will visit next week or if I am wrong about second California school and their CS program is not too theoretical.
