By sending scores early the colleges seem to send information about themselves like scholarships and other information.
@itsgettingreal17 - I wish we had rescored my D’s APEuro last year. She killed that class and was a tutor for other kids. She knew everything inside and out and her FRQs and DBQs written for class were used as models for this years’ class. This is her strong area and an area of intense interest - she is not normally such a strong student but in this class she excelled. She ended up with a 3 on the AP – not bad but a shock. It shocked her teacher and her good friends (some of whom outscored her even though she worked with them extensively). We encouraged her to let it go - (before finding CC and getting more involved).
We now suspect that she misbubbled her answer sheet – something that she definitely did on her PSAT after seeing her score report and 9-11 questions wrong in a row (with the exception of one in the middle that lined up) - all one answer off of the correct (but matching the one underneath). Also on her ACT practice tests she had a habit of bubbling errors even though the answers were correct in the book (she did work on it and on her official ACT did not repeat). We have wondered if a rescore would take misbubbling into account.
I have not yet worked the proxy - waiting for D to text me when on break to see if she wants me to go in that direction- she was going to contact me on her first morning chance to get the scores so I will ask her if she wants me to do a work around. I haven’t heard from her yet - they are keeping those kids busy and away from their phones.
In the college specific essay on why that college, it is alright to mention that we are selecting the college due to availability of merit scholarships?
DD17 worke up early (for summer), downloaded a VPN app on her ipad and checked her scores. She scored 5s on both US History, Language and Composition. Super happy for her
@hades321 - if you can spin it right, maybe? Its one thing to say “lol I am here for free $” but different to say “I appreciate how SchoolX is actively welcoming/recruiting students like me.” Hopefully thats not the only reason for selection!
My son’s guidance college placement office said you can email them all summer and they can answer questions. I know they also will send transcripts in July if you ask

I logged on and got my DDs AP scores since she’s in Penn. She took 2 tests and got 5s on both. Proud mama.
D woke up to check her AP scores and texted me about them. She took 5 tests and got 5s in Bio, Lang, USH, and APES and one 4. Oh well, Calculus AB was never her strong suit anyway, and that is still a solid score.
Now just waiting for SAT results on July 21. So much waiting!
concerning the AP release – So D texted me - everyone at her workshop is accessing proxies to get scores – she said she would work on getting hers and then let me know - she wants to work on their project through the break while everyone else is distracted by APs and will check on her lunch break - she had great will power since just about every kid there is accessing scores around her.
Leave it to a room of HS kids to know exactly what to do - silly me for worrying and trying to figure it out for her - these kids are always a mile ahead!
Dear D is getting so anxious and had been nagging me to help get her score since 10 o’clock. So I caved in and asked my co-worker in San Fran office to check for me. So now is the brag time. She got 5s for Calc BC (5 for Calc AB sub), Chemistry, English Language and Composition and APUSH. 4 for Physics 1. :)>- So proud of her!
Just checked AP Scores. For some reason I thought they were coming out tomorrow. Didn’t need any proxies. Two 5’s on both S17’s test. Yes!!
2 AP scores out so far - accessed via iOnion – 5’s on AP Lang & Physics 1 – APUSH says code 83 - score delayed - will be reported as soon as possible. No idea what could have happened - had a proctor and no issues reported at school at all.
Congrats to all those who are pleased with their scores. I can’t believe s many students are taking 4 or more AP exams junior year & getting 4’s / 5’s – wow!! My DS gets some accommodations so each exam was 4.5 hrs or longer - pretty exhausting.

5 on APHUG freshman year,
3 on AP Euro last year
5 on APUSH this year.
That doesn’t seem right does it? She has some other 3’s and a 4 in other subjects, but for Social Studies the APEuro stick out, a lot.
@STEM2017 - He got the email and was able to get into mybama… but I don’t know checking the application status doesn’t work. However he is able to get to the apply to scholarship page. Pretty sure he won’t get anything though (except the merit) since he hasn’t been a leader in anything. He mainly does acting in the school plays and sings. I was hoping to see when they got his transcript but I guess we will just have to wait for the admit email.
@MichiganGeorgia Not much leadership here either. Hoping we’ll all be pleasantly surprised!
