Double yay @TwinMom2023 ! Congrats!
Congrats @TwinMom2023
@TwinMom2023 Congratulations! What a wonderful evening for your family.
Double the congrats ??? @TwinMom2023
@JBSeattle , if she didn’t pull the UVM app yet, I’d let it ride. My HS18 kid was deferred EA and accepted RD with $. Not a huge amount, but decent.
D in at Ursinus and Willamette today, with merit. Tough choices ahead!
@TwinMom2023 double congratulations! So happy for you!!!
@Acersaccharum congratulations! Choices are good!!!
Yay @Acersaccharum !!!
@TwinMom2023 Congrats! Your race is now run. Lucky you!
And congrats @Acersaccharum! S is also in at Ursinus with great merit. I was just googling plane fare to Philly because he’s never visited.
D19 got a couple acceptances this week. High Point, St. Joe’s and Miami of Ohio.
Congrats to everyone on the great news this week.
@DCNatFan - I think our children have been accepted to a bunch of the same schools! Just heard from St Joe’s as well - he is in.
@DCNatFan and @Acersaccharum Nice admits.
What other results are coming out today? Hoping there is more good news.
It’s so weird to reach this point. Maybe similar to planning a wedding? So much work and then the day is over. It’s an odd transition. I love to shop and research so a hard stop with ED is strange.
Also, most of you know that Twin B was a sure bet for Wake Forest this summer and was deferred from their ED rolling admission. We were stunned. She had a very hard time letting go, but is thrilled to be a UR Spider. I believe UR is a much better match for her and am glad WFU deferred her even though it crushed her spirit. Sometimes you just have to have faith that door number two or three is better in the long run.
No ED for us, @TwinMom2023 . But it was a done deal once the EA decision came in from Penn State. Deposit has already been made. Definitely a transition. Hey, now we just shift to shopping and researching dorm stuff.
Getting into a college is kind of like giving birth. “Oh, that wasn’t the hardest part?!”
Twinmom, how wonderful that you can be thrilled for both! I can’t even imagine being thrilled for one while consoling the other. Big congrats to all of you!
My D just got into Ohio Wesleyan with a $30k scholarship and invitation to apply for another $10k per year. She said “no way am I moving to Ohio”.
Congrats to all the great acceptances! S19 has mainly all EA or rolling admissions schools so far but we’ll need to wait a pretty long time to make a decision because of the tuition exchange program. We couldn’t do ED because of this. He’s got his mind made up about civil engineering so we are thinking minimizing debt and finding the best fit is the best bet as ABET accreditation is pretty standard. This will also pave the way for him proceed right to a masters in civil or an M.Arch for no cost at our home institution.
