@cinn124 Oh, my goodness, I’m sure that’s horrible for her to suffer through, and for you to have to try to work through on her behalf. I’m sorry I have nothing to offer you except good wishes.
@Cinn124 I hope you get answers – and relief – for your daughter soon. Having kids in pain is the worst thing…
@cinn124 hoping for pain relief for your daughter so she can focus on her studies and enjoy life.
@cinn124
My prayers go out to your daughter. Back pain is not fun!
@cinn124 Sending out healing thoughts to your D. And much support your way. Her health is the priority and it is my hope that relief is ahead.
@cinn124 your poor daughter! And how in the world the school didn’t say anything is dumbfounding! I hope she gets answers soon to the cause of her pain.
@cinn124 hang in there! I bet you are getting all kinds of advice, but I will throw out two ideas: 1)Orthogonal chiropractic, totally different from standard chiropractic and is “curing” my migraines of 40 years. Do a search. Only works on the atlas which is near the skull, so wouldn’t do anything near her site 2) My nephew was in a parachuting accident and had so much pain he couldn’t do any of his PT, until eventually he had some sort of electronic pain management device implanted. It was a miracle and he now lives a normal life. If you want details I can try to find them out, PM me.
@EENYMum yes all her hardware is in place. Both the xray and MRI confirmed. That’s why the pain in so baffling.
Thank you all for your well wishes and prayers. I truly appreciate it.
@Acersaccharum unfortunately there is no online option here in NY.
@2019hope PT has only been the last 3 weeks and yes all apps and testing are complete. She’s had 3 acceptances already.
@cinn124 Praying for recovery for your daughter. Puts things in perspective.
Hope the peach state made the cut.
@cinn124 I’m so sorry to hear your story. I know personally how difficult it is to see your child in so much pain not to mention the emotional roller coaster chronic pain causes. I hope you find some relief soon.
@cinn124 What a tough time. I’m so sorry and I hope she turns the corner soon. Nothing worse than seeing your kid in pain.
On another note, how do you withdrawal an application? The girls and I can’t figure it out. Is there a huge button we just aren’t seeing?
@TwinMom2023
I would just send a polite e mail to the admissions rep.
@TwinMom2023 My D emailed the admissions office of her schools. Several of the smaller schools followed up asking where she would attend.
We got some college related good news today! D19 received a letter saying she is getting on out of state tuition waiver for Georgia State! If she decides to go there, we’ll be paying in state tuition rates plus room and board. This is very good. GSU is currently #5 on her list so we’ll see what happens.
On another note, @TS0104 I have been researching orthogonal chiropratic and we’re going to give it a try.
@cinn124
I am happy that you received some good news!
@cinn124 - Great news!
My son got deferred from Fordham and Chapman. He has been put on holistic review (I guess another word for deferral) at University of Oregon. So frustrating! We know his GPA is low (3.21 with 9 AP classes) but his SAT score is decent (1430) and he is a very good writer so we were hoping for good news. Oh well. I guess it is a waiting game. He does have one acceptance in hand to his safety school so that is a relief but hoping for some more choice.
