Are those are those UTD stats only for in state? Or any NM finalist?
@KKreis OOS NM scholarships at UTD is even more because it cover OOS tuition. The valuse of in state NM is $101,000 and OOS is $187,000.
Right - thereās a lot of variation in how college offices / GCs handle it, @3scoutsmom and others. And schools also can have different packages/levels. So, not at all contradicting how it works at your school! It just doesnāt work the same everywhere.
Also, probably most of you know this, so forgive me, but scattergrams are MUCH more useful/relevant for schools that are more numbers-driven. Just looking at admits based on scores and GPA tells very little of the story and can lead to falsely high expectations and the opposite as well. Probably your own GCs will have walked you through taking them with a grain of salt.
@makemesmart, yes, SAT scores etc. go directly to your childās college/guidance office.
So interestingly I checked our schoolās aeries portal (where attendance records, transcripts, and standardized test results are posted) this morning and at that time I could see under the ātestingā button both the in-school standardized tests plus last yearās PSAT and the SAT results from last month and subject testing from earlier this year. I just looked again now and the PSAT and SAT stuff is all missing. Iām guessing they have uploaded the new PSAT results and toggled something to hide it. Or ⦠I donāt know how it works tbh. But maybe by sometime on Monday Iāll be able to see it.
We also have aeries but no change today, just checked.
Mine is taking Math2 tomorrow. Good luck to all the testers!
D20 is already in bed, #2 pencils dancing in her head. She has the regular SAT tomorrow. Hoping for a NMSF-confirming score. Too bad she wonāt have the SI to go along with it. :))
@bigmacbeth Good luck to your daughter tomorrow!
@washugrad Are you saying that you think the schools already have the PSAT scores? College Board states that schools donāt receive them until Monday. Our Aeries account currently shows PSAT 10, AP scores and subject test scores from last year. They donāt have the Nov SAT score posted yet even though we received it a couple of weeks ago.
No Naviance at our high school, either, unfortunately.
@lkg4answers maybe itās just that our district was getting ready to upload them for Monday? I donāt know⦠there was just a difference between this morning and late afternoon.
So apparently CB was testing out some new sections during the SAT testing. D had a section ā5ā consisting of an additional, abbreviated, Math - No Calc.
@bigmacbeth that was true on the ACT also - an extra experimental section of math for my D, though some kids apparently had an extra experimental section that was not math.
@bigmacbeth, my son had an experimental math section on the 11/3 SAT, too.
Well, anything to help get more/new tests out there so they donāt have to keep rehashing old tests is a good thing.
Hi all. Dipping in from the 2019 thread. Iām a tutor and two of my students signed up for the Feb ACT. While the date on the website says Feb 9, both of their tickets say Sunday Feb 10. Are any of your kids taking the Feb ACT? Iām confused about that date and never heard of an ACT being given on a Sunday.
Inquired with counselor about PSAT scores. He says scores can be found on CB website. I told him 12th for students 3rd for schools. Havenāt heard back.
I would ask the GC but am afraid of being labeled āthat parentā especially if her scores arenāt even interesting level.
I didnāt feel that bad. He didnāt receive the ACT score from October either which was 6-7 points over the school average. He only has 25-30 kids( estimate)who took the PSAT.
We have 4 counselors for 2800 students. Not sure how many kids took the PSAT, but they always seem so busy.
Ours is 10 for 2000. But her GC handles college visits and other college related activities. I will give him credit for replying but in my opinion he should gave a better answer.
