DD received notice she is a Semifinalist and admitted today! So excited for her!!!
Do applicants find out either way or only receive an email if they are chosen as a semi-finalist?

D (OOS) was rejected. I know leadership and service are not her strengths, so I’m not too surprised - although I really thought she had a decent chance at making it to the next round. NC State is not an option w/out a substantial scholarship…bummer.

@BillyBobJonesFPV Nothing new here either.
D20 did agree to her meeting time right after the initial notification and was sent an email about what happens with if there is inclement weather but nothing beyond that.

For future Park Semi-Finalists In-State: There was a 30 min info session before the interview that parents were welcome to attend. Great info and our presenters were super helpful. Then they called students back by name. The interview for my D20 was 25 mins. She said they were really friendly and she loved the atmosphere in the interview room. Most students were dressed in business to business casual. Lots of suits and blazers.
Notifications about finalists are being sent on Jan 29th. We were told they will select 110 finalists and that all finalists not selected as Park Scholars will be given a small scholarship for making it that far.
It was a really positive experience for my D20. I hope it was for all the other students. Go Wolfpack!
Finalist notifications just came out about 20 min ago! Congrats to everyone who advanced to finalist weekend. And for those wondering, the letter said that all the finalists who participate in the selection weekend but don’t get the Park are still given a smaller scholarship of $2500 per year.
So- that didn’t end the way we had hoped. 
Good luck to everyone who made it to the finalist round. It seems like a phenomenal program and I was so impressed with the poise and engagement of the students I saw when we went to the interviews.
Does anyone know what the finalist interviews and the group discussion tasks are like? How do we prepare?

Does anyone know when finalists will be notified of award status? I know the website said March 5th, but at the finalist selection activities they said it might be sooner. Has anyone been notified yet or know when they will be?
