Pattern to admission decsion times?

i have seen a number of different times individuals have been told to check their application status on march 29th, and I am guessing that there’s some sort of pattern. lets start a list in which each person says the time they have been told, where there from, and other pertenent information. I’m guessing the times pertain to geography or adcom, but lets find out

6:00 CST and I’m in Chicago.

6:00 CST and I’m in Texas. Hopefully, it’s not a bad pattern, like them sending out acceptances or rejections at different hours in waves.

very unlikely, something like this has never been done before

like even I got that email, and I was accepted ED…

They’re just messing around in the admin office, don’t make anything of it

I doubt it…

Well, when I click the link it says: Regular Decision Applicants:
Your decision will be available on March 29, 2007, after 5pm EDT.

My e-mail said Thursday, March 29, 2007 no sooner than 6 p.m. (your local time). - (which would be EST, NY)

Mine said 6:30 pm (EST, West Virginia). I hope they put them up at five anyways. I’ll be spazzing until 6:30 otherwise!

My email said 6:00 CST as well (TX)

Haha, I plan to be out doing…something to keep myself occupied until maybe about 7:00 or 8:00 so I don’t have a heart attack hitting F5 to refresh.

I figure that they’re telling people different times so that the servers don’t overload and freeze up.

that makes sense…

yea, mine said 5:30, and in all honesty, i think it’s an overload of server issue, no relation to accept/reject

mine also said no sooner than 6pm your time (nyc)

Mine said " no sooner than 5:30 pm " I live in NJ.
and I agree with BingCold. I doubt it’s anything bad

Mine also said “no sooner than 6 p.m. (your local time),” and I’m from NYC as well- perhaps it’s by region?

5:00 PM… California.

Well, if that’s the case (server-crash-preventing) then I’m logging on at 2:00 PM my time anyway (; we’ll see what happens!

“5:00 pm your local time” — Seattle

Thursday, March 29, 2007 no sooner than 5 p.m. (your local time). - Singapore (which is weird because 5 pm my local time would be 5 am EST in the US)

I was sent two e-mails:
The first said no sooner than 5pm my local time (EST)
An hour later, I got another on that was the same except it said
no sooner than 6pm my local time.

However, when I go to the site that the linked in the e-mail, it says decisions will be available after 5pm EDT.

Hmmm…

the local time thingy can’t be true… all the intels got it, too and I doubt that they’d actually keep track of who lives where when they email the decisions

“Thursday, March 29, 2007 no sooner than 5 p.m. (your local time).”

I’m from Argentina. Actually, it should be later, 7 pm, I think… That’s still no sooner than 5, of course. But I think they should have avoided the local time problem…

HAHA mine says after 6 but i’m going to obsessively clicking from 4:59 till 6.
