Hi guys,
So I have a quick question. I know that Penn asks for a complete history of testing, so I sent both my ACT and SAT scores. I have a 34 ACT(33R 33S 35M and 34E) and a 1990 superscore SAT. I know my SAT score is low but my ACT is well in the range for Penn. Will my lower SAT score hurt me? Or will they only consider my ACT since it is the higher score? Thanks!
@Makooks I believe the lower SAT score should not hurt you. If your highest test either ACT or SAT falls in their range you are good to go. Atleast thatās what I heard and seems to make sense.
@Makooks how does the rest of your app look, if you donāt mind sharing? That might determine how much weight theyād put on the lower score
I mean they state that they only consider your highest score
Is anyone else sorta banking on their ECs to get them in?? I have a mediocre GPA, decent but not inspiring for an asian SAT scores 
@teenagecrime same here. My GPA and scores are meh for Wharton. Iām hoping my ECs, family background, and profile pay off

Iām starting to think my CA essay was weakishāāa professional college admissions counselor said it was between 7.5-8/10 although the meaning was very āpowerful and unique.ā fingers crossed
My ECS are average. No exceptional awards or anything. Some standouts are that I worked in Peru at a medical clinic over the summer and I also have alot of unique volunteer work(running with the homeless before school). GPA-4.0 IB and STEM program. All of my RECS are really good from what my counselor said, and I knew her really well and she loved me so I expect that to be good. My CA essay likely 8.5-9/10, english major for mom looked over it and I worked on it for a while. And my Why Penn essay probably a 7.5-8/10- I would say it was a little generic. @lalakers418
@nodaysoff97 oh my gosh, all my relatives and family friends have basically been telling me āIvy or Dieāā¦ literally my whole family is downstairs right now and iām hiding up in my room because if I hear the world college one more time iām going to go crazy
the whole āsucks, now forget about itā thing is exactly what my view on this is. yeah, iām going to be sad if I donāt get into Penn, but Iāll eventually going to forget about it and look towards the school Iām going to attend. I know a lot of people who went to my state school, worked really hard, and ended up getting really great jobs at big companies. i believe that if you work hard enough at whatever school you go to, youāll be fine. but yeah haha, thatās just my take on this

@Makooks yeah so it seems like the rest of your app would point more towards the better score, so I wouldnāt worry too much! I really donāt know too much about this tho honestly, so thatās just my opinion
